Immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of the Mayan jungle 1 hour away from Cancun Ariport, at a place where nature and architecture merge into one heartbeat. Glass 20.87, awarded the gold medal at the 2020 Caribbean Mexican Architecture Biennale, invites you to experience a journey that redefines what it means to connect with nature and oneself. Our promise is straightforward: to offer you an experience that combines total privacy, luxury, and profound respect for the environment. Glass 20.87 is not just a place to stay; it's a call to live and feel differently. It's an invitation to open all the Glass doors and let nature embrace you, to ignite your wood-fired tub under a starry sky, to pedal through paths surrounded by lush vegetation, and to partake in ancestral rituals connecting you with the earth's essence. The project has 7 glass houses with different layouts separated from each other with a distance of between 20 and 25 meters between each one, which allows you to have total privacy in each of them due to the density of the jungle. We are set on pristine lands (1 hour away from cancun airport and 35 minutes away from Puerto Morelos deep in the jungle), free from environmental light and sound pollution. Reaching Glass 20.87 is not easy, but I assure you that it will be worth every minute. At Glass House #1,, you can live this unique experience surrounded by the breathtaking Mayan jungle. The house is completely private, so open all the glass windows and let yourself be embraced by nature. You won't regret it! Each house has an equipped kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom and a private rooftop with a green egg grill, exterior dining room and our famous wood-fired tubs. Glass 20.87 is secured 24 hours a day. Every element of Glass 20.87 has been crafted with artisanal care. No machinery, no offenses against nature. Our core principles revolve around privacy, artistic integration, community assistance, and of course, sustainability Butterflies, Fireflies and other small insects may be expected. Let them be part of this magical experience, this is the place they live, please respect them. We are an off-grid project so we do not have any electric applyances except for the fridge. It is important you know we are not a hotel; this is actually an alternative project. Therefore, WE DO NOT HAVE A FRONT DESK NOR A CONCIERGE OR RECEPTIONIST THERE. However, Camila will be there between 5 pm and 8 pm to check on you except on Wednesdays. We are a couples retreat, children under 12 years old are not allowed. The houses have total privacy and they are fully equipped for a wonderfull stay, the only common area is the pool but its usually alone. We offer additional activities at an extra cost, such as: - Private chef - Temazcal - Cacao ceremony - Soul caress therapy - Herbs Ceremony - Cenote tour - Janzu We will send you our brochure with all the information once you have completed your reservation. In your house, you will have access to the following amenities: - rooftop terrace - wood-fired tubs - green egg (grill) at your private rooftop - firewood - bicycles to explore the surrounding paths - Water, coffee, jam, bread, salt, pepper, olive oil, cooking oil and 2 non-alcoholic beers will be waiting for you in your house. - kitchen and grill equipment - mosquito repelent and bug spray - fridge Luis and Camila live at the property so they can help you if you need anything, you will also find our wsp number written on the house, so if you need anything you can reach me any time. The location map on Airbnb is wrong since the app does not record our exact location. We are located 35 minutes away from Puerto Morelos deep inside the jungle. From Puerto Morelos, you need to take the road called "Ruta de los Cenotes" towards Leona Vicario for approximately 27 km (15 to 20 minutes). Before discovering us, you will travel a dirt road for approximately 4km (15 to 20 minutes more). At night, it gets very dark. Don’t get nervous; put on good music and enjoy the road—you are about to arrive. You will not find signs on the road; we do this for privacy. There are few of us lucky enough to know this place, and you acould be one of them. If you decide to rent a car, please rent one suitable for this type of roads. If you prefer not to rent it, we can recomend 2 transporters that are all of our trust. We do not recommend taking a taxi from the airport. We will send a brochure with all the info a few days before your arrival, please download the maps and read all the info as well, it is really important. Please remember to buy groceries for your stay, we are secluded and there are no stores around. Being immersed in nature means being away from the city. If you are renting a car, we recommend you rent one suitable for dirt roads. If you are arriving at night, we advise using one of the 2 transporters we recommend. They are familiar with the area, as arriving at night can be challenging due to the darkness of the roads. If you are interested in this option, we can assist you in contacting them. The parking lot is at the entrance of the project, there you will find a wheelbarrow to take your things to your house. Here are some tips to help you enjoy your stay to the fullest: - Open ALL THE WINDOWS; let the wind pass through the house, let the butterfly inside and join you, let the dragonfly play around the house. This is part of this magical experience. - Turn on the wood-fired tubs on your private terrace at night and watch for shooting stars. How many can you see? - We recomend you check-in during the day - Please remember to buy groceries for your stay; we are secluded, and there are no stores around.
