Contact us for information. The tropical setting and close proximity to the sand and surf will offer you all the comforts of a hotel with plenty of space to spread out and relax. You will also have the convenience of being able to prepare your meals in a fully prepped kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, blender and more. In addition to all the linens, soaps, and paper supplies, we also include a cooler, beach towels, beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards, tennis racquets and balls, ping pong paddles/balls to supplement your land and sea excursions. Our townhouse has had a major renovation recently. From top to bottom it is new and you will love what it has to offer! Solid granite kitchen counters, stainless steel appliances and a washer and dryer downstairs for ease of access & use. The bathrooms offer either a large walk-in shower or a tub/shower combination with new tile work throughout. The downstairs has new wood flooring, and the bedrooms have soft carpet that will soothe your feet. Additionally, there is a new sleeper sofa in the living room for added guest comfort. *Both bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds (easily converted to a King upon request prior to arrival). Both bedrooms are furnished with comfortable linens & bedding, ample closet & dresser space and cable TV. There is also a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room for that extra one or two guests. *Our townhome comfortably accommodates 5 but can sleep up to 6, with 2 people on the sleeper sofa. From the private ground floor Lanai you can relax and enjoy the tropical breeze, or take a short 2 minute walk and watch Spinner Dolphins swim the coastline, whales breaching during their migration and incomparable sunsets with the ocean waves literally breaking in front of you. Bring some of our beach chairs and a pitcher of your favorite drink and relax as you watch the sun slowly set beyond the horizon each evening and view the light in the sky dance and change hues moment by moment. This lovely unit is perfect for a couple, families or a few friends enjoying a holiday break together. The entire townhouse is your home for your reserved dates. There is a designated parking spot only 20 feet from the front door and there is a secure WIFI connection in the unit; both are FREE for our guests. If you enjoy a game of tennis, you will be delighted with our newly resurfaced, PREMIER tennis courts which are also FREE for our guests. We even supply 4 racquets and tennis balls for your enjoyment! There is also a Pickelball court, bring your racquets! There is a volleyball area, ping pong table and two separate pavilions (the one next to the pool has WIFI as well), and a beach with petroglyphs and turtles just a minute walk from the townhome. The complex has several gas and charcoal BBQ's. Our guests also enjoy the convenience of having the best snorkeling/turtle park just 1/2 mile north of complex and a shopping center complete with restaurants, drug store, groceries, and URGENT care 1/2 mile south. We live on island so we are available for any questions or to address any concerns while staying at the Ohana Beach Retreat! We are located in the upscale Keauhou area, our complex is a highly desirable, quiet, family-friendly and gated 14 acre garden community featuring 3 lighted tennis courts with pickleball court (tennis pro available), a swimming pool that was fully refurbished in October 2016, community BBQ's and picnic areas as well as a grass volleyball court. Our unit IS NOT ocean facing but you can hear the lull of the waves and peacefulness of the gardens. Walk to Kahalu’u Beach Park (ranked among the best snorkeling reefs in the Islands) and to the nearby Keauhou shopping center for shops, dining, cinema, groceries, local Farmer's market and free Hula and local community entertainment weekly. Excellent golfing is available at the adjacent Kona Country Club Ocean Golf Course. We no longer offer snorkel gear. You may bring your own, purchase from Costco, Wal Mart, Target or rent from a local dive shop. In addition to driving, you can hop a ride into town on the convenient Kona Trolley. On your way back home to your piece of paradise after a busy day in town of shopping and sight-seeing, stop in at the Sheraton for a drink and a view of the night light Manta Rays. You won’t be disappointed. The Big Island is BIG, so we advise if you are wanting to explore rent a car or books tours to help you see all your desired destinations. This location is perfect for easy access to everything yet you'll feel like you're completely removed to a lush Hawaiian paradise the rest of the time.
