A Colorful, Hidden Paradise on the island of North Caicos If you’ve been yearning for a tropical, secluded getaway with lots of flora, fruit and friendly animals, you’ve stumbled upon it! We are a couple originally from Texas, who has made our dream home here in the Caribbean with our own hands. We had so much fun creating it, that we decided to do it again—this time in the form of a guesthouse for friends and fellow travelers alike. Boasting a wooded vaulted ceiling, an east-facing front patio for a cooling breeze, beautiful sunrise, a comfortable king size bed, nestled among local art, and an outdoor shower amongst the palms, paradise awaits you. We are located on the island of NORTH CAICOS in Major Hill, overlooking beautiful Bottle Creek and are but a few hundred steps away from the waters iron shore edge that is fit for swimming, kayaking and fishing. We have 3 friendly dogs that roam our property, and they will be happy to escort you to the swimming hole. We have egg-laying chickens, chirping cockatiels and three macaws that just may remember your name. Many of our plants are fruit bearing (coconuts, calamondin oranges, basil, onions, rosemary, papayas) and some of them produce beautiful, fragrant flowers. More specifics of the guesthouse include a screened porch, A/C, ceiling fan, unlimited Wi-Fi, TV with fire stick for Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. Brand new memory foam mattress. Two cruiser type bicycles, 2 single kayaks THERE IS NO KITCHEN. But there is a microwave, hot plate, coffee pot, toaster, crock pot, small fridge and an outdoor gas grill for you to use. While some visitors are happy to make do with a bare-bones approach to their stay, we do offer a number of “a la carte” amenities, including clothes laundering (hung up on the line to dry) and maid service. We can arrange fishing or snorkel tours, E-Bike rental, Island tours and kayak or Stand-up Paddle board rentals. When you arrive to North Caicos via the ferry (water taxi), we will be happy to help you arrange transportation to our Cottage. Regardless of if you choose to make your trip to North Caicos full of adventure or full of leisure, we are sure you will leave relaxed, inspired and a little tanner than when you came. Rental car is recommended but we do have bicycles for you to use. We also have two kayaks and snorkel gear for you to use. Only as often as they want us to. We are right next door if they need us but we leave them to their own privacy. We have parrots and friendly dogs on premises. We like to think of them as our welcoming committee and security system. :-) It's quiet & safe here and has a great view. You can just walk the 300 steps to the waters edge to swim, fish or kayak. A rental car is recommended to get around and the explore North and Middle Caicos. We do have two cruiser type bicycles for guests to use. There is no public transportation on North Caicos. TV is internet based. It is a Fire TV so you can get Netflix, Hulu etc..if you have an account. . **The parrots can be a bit noisy in the morning. There is no kitchen in the cottage. There is a small fridge, coffee pot, microwave, hot plate, toaster, crockpot, cooler and an outside gas grill. Laundry and cleaning available for an extra charge. The last ferry to leave Provo over to North Caicos is at 4:30. The first ferry to leave to North to Provo is at 7:00am. Sundays and Holidays the ferry schedule is limited. PLEASE CHECK THE TCI FERRY SCHEDULE. Be sure to make your flight arrangements accordingly.
