Pohoiki Black Sand Beach Park is newly formed black sand beach,perfect for swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, and a hot spring with life guards and more. We are about 45 min from the Hilo or ITO airport, and about 2-3 hours from the Kona or KOA airport. Your parking is on property, gated, covered and fenced. We have friendly geckos in and outside the house, nothing to worry about they love to eat bugs and are considered Good Luck! We also have Coqui Frogs or tree frogs out doors that make noise at night that sound like birds singing. They are not poisonous a size of quarter they also eat bugs as well.
