The Floor Plan One bedroom, one bathroom with a murphy queen bed in the living room, providing ultimate comfort for extra guests. Both bedroom and living room have access to a sizeable balcony which can be a great place for coffee, conversations and people-watching. The Amenities All utilities, internet/Wifi, basic cable are included. Additionally, The Surf Suite is equipped with a full kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances including a full-size refrigerator/freezer, electric oven/range and microwave. You will also have free use of additional kitchen amenities (coffee maker, dishes, utensils, toaster, blender, etc.). The Perks You will have your own free, secure parking space at the lower level of the building. No fighting over Waikiki's limited parking spots. No worrying about leaving your car on the streets or having to find metered parking. Just the peace the of mind of guaranteed, secure parking close to the beach which alone is worth its weight in gold! The Extras Because you should be spending as much time on the beach as possible, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards have been provided for your convenience. Please take good care of them and leave them behind for future guests to enjoy. Access is via elevator. Because we have full-time jobs and young children to take care of, our hands are always full and there will be minimal to no personal interaction with us. However, we will always be a phone call or text away for our guests. There's no place like Waikiki Beach! The energy is electric. Because you are in the center of the action, expect some street noise. You are less than a block away from Kalakaua Avenue where you can find the beach, bars, shopping, dining and everything in between. The Kapiolani Park is essentially your backyard - great place for picnics, jogs, sports activities and picture-taking. The Honolulu Zoo, Aquarium and Ala Wain Golf Course are both within walking distance. You have easy walking access to convenience stores (aka ABC Stores), bus stops and guided tour activities. Because you are close to everything, you can get around by foot. For those who want to venture around the island (recommended), I would suggest renting a car, especially because you will have your own guaranteed parking space. There’s also a moped and bike rental shop two doors down from you. Multiple options, the decision is yours to make... Because you are literally within walking distance from anything and everything, you can get by without a car. However, if you wanted to go around the island and visit other special places (North Shore, hiking trails, Pearl Harbor), then a car is recommended. Parking, as stated above, is guaranteed so you can come "home" as early or as late as you want. Please note: As with most of Hawaii, parking stall is narrower than those on the mainland. Standard Honolulu parking stalls are about 8 feet 3 inches. So plan your rental car accordingly or if you use a bigger car (like an SUV or minivan), then we recommend that you park reverse or "head out" (that is, front wheels out; back in) as many of us do here.
