Welcome to Orcas Island! Enjoy island life in our two-story home set up just for you. We house is conveniently located within walking & biking distance to both North Beach and Eastsound where you can enjoy local restaurants, galleries and a farmers market on weekends. In the back of the property is where our family lives, along with another rental that shares one wall with the house. You will see us walk through the driveway to access our home. Backyard is private/not included in your stay.. The house is a two-story, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom farmhouse with all bedrooms located on the second floor set up just for you. The kitchen has a high end gas stove, spacious stainless steel refrigerator and all the cookware you'll need to make meals with the fresh ingredients our bountiful island has to offer. The front porch is graced with blooming flowers and singing birds. There is a little pond in the side yard easily viewed from the bay window in the living room filled with fish. Our family lives in the back end of this property. They access their home via the same driveway, it is not uncommon to us coming and going, people visiting and the renters in the back unit walking through the driveway. In addition to the house, guests have access to the fully fenced front yard. If it piques your interest; inquire about making arrangements to meet with the owner to learn about the plants and island. On some occasions guests may be invited to join in the backyard where the owner will fire up the wood fired oven. If you're a pizza lover let us know! It's not unlikely to meet Kit or Leesa in passing as they access the back end of the property. We want to respect each individual's comfort level - so let us know what you prefer! We are nestled at the end of a dead end road with few direct neighbors. The house is walking distance to the airport so daytime airplane noise is to be expected. If you have yet to visit Orcas Island, you are in for a treat. The island is home to stunning hiking trails, kayaking, beaches, fishing, world class restaurants and artisans. Don't miss out on the local seafood and farm scene. When planning your trip to Orcas Island you can make a reservation for your vehicle on the WSDOT website. If you "miss the boat" there are other ways to get to Orcas Island, take a plane from Boeing Field, bring your boat and grab a mooring ball or dock space, or cycling onto the ferry. We are conveniently located in the heart of the island. Ride you bike or take a stroll to many activities within 10 minutes. There are scenic tours and taxis that can take you up to Mount Constitution or get you from the ferry or marina into town. Our family lives in another unit on the back end of the property. You will see him parking, walking or working outside. There is another rental onsite that shares a wall with the house. This rental is small and has a max of two guests and no TV.
