1890's home in a downtown neighborhood. The home has been renovated to keep its historic charm and character. The property is less than one mile to downtown and is an easy walk to the Carson center and downtown restaurants and activities. The guest (s) may use anything on the premises. There is an outdoor patio which has a fire pit and a barbecue grill and is available for the guest to use. Barbecue tools, charcoal and lighter fluid can be found in the kitchen on the short table near the back door. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything one might need for cooking and making coffee or tea. The quest is welcome to make use of any food items left in the ice box, fridge and cabinets. Complimentary snacks and cereal bars can be found in baskets on the kitchen counter. There is parking via the alley in the back yard. It’s good for one small to medium size car. In the utility rooms found on either side of the hall as you enter the bathroom is a washer and dryer and an ironing board and iron. The ironing board is on the other side from the washer/dryer. The TV has Amazon Prime, Netflix, HuLu and the works. In short, the whole house and property is available for the guests use. Just make yourself at home and enjoy your stay. The guest may access anything on the premises, except the storage building. There may be some weekends where I will be out of town, but I will have a friend assist if needed. I want my guests to be as comfortable as can be and yet have their privacy. Located just a 10 minute walk south of paducah's historic downtown, this old jewel of a house is set in a diverse yet quiet and safe residential neighborhood. The house next door has recently been undergoing a makeover as is true for other houses in this part of town. In the distance, one can faintly hear the cars on the highway, buffered by the property fence and buildings. Two blocks away is a Dollar General convenient for everyday essentials. Five blocks to the North, is the nearest restaurant called "Freight House", which is owned by "Top Chief" star Sarah Bradely. A ten to fifteen minute walk North will take you to downtown restaurants, bars, and shops. There is the Paducah Area Transit system for public travel, but your car will be more convenient to take you to midtown or the mall. If you happen to bring a bike, the trip to midtown, lower town, and downtown would be very pleasant on warm days.
