If you enjoy visiting small American towns, Historic Downtown Ridgefield is the place for you. Everything you need is only a few blocks from this house. In a short drive you'll find both entrances to the Ridgefield National Bird Refuges, kayaking, fishing, boat dock, ilani Casino and many award winning wineries. If your plans are to visit Portland it's only 18 miles away. This property is hosted by a mother and daughter duo. My daughter lives right around the corner from the house and is readily available. The house includes wood & vinyl floors throughout, updated kitchen and a private fully fenced in backyard to relax in after a full day of local activities. Although backyard is fully fenced we do not take responsibility if dog(s) get loose. Please no unattended pets. This is a quiet, family friendly downtown neighborhood. Plenty of street parking. Dinning, shopping and entertainment all within a few blocks of the house. This 80 yr old house has some quirks including drawstring lighting in the bedrooms and closets that connect. There is also a small step down from the washroom area into the backsitting room. During the warm season AC is in the form of window units. This year (2022) has a high amount of aggressive mosquitos. If you plan on spending anytime outside please pack your bug spray. Even then, don't be surprised if you still get a few bites. This is a pet friendly home. Although we do our very best to clean, trace amounts of pet hair can always be found. Pets also bring in fleas and other bugs. To combat this issue bomb monthly for fleas, bedbugs and other insects. The community joke is Ridgefield is build on an ant hill. We do have the house sprayed on a regular bases but there always seems to be few sugar ants hanging about. There is a small garage on the property that is off limits for guests. We DO NOT access the garage during a guests stay unless notified.
