Welcome to Casa De Las Olas "House of the Waves"! Our name says it all once you step foot onto our secluded beach in Northern Nicaragua. The surf out front is world class with empty line ups for miles. Just you and your board! We are located 3 km. south from Salinas Grandes with the colonial city of Leon just 45 minutes away which offers guests the best of both worlds. Casa De Las Olas is a newly built, open concept ocean front colonial-style beach house with 1 large bedroom with a king size bed, a full 3 pc bathroom all situated on a secluded beach on the Emerald Coast of Northern Nicaragua. Comfortably accommodates up to 2 people, offering unlimited WiFi, A/C (see Below), daily housekeeping and 24 hour security. PLEASE READ! * As of SEPT '23! * We are NOW fully connected to power and operational! YES!!! The house still has solar which is great to have as a backup. As of DEC '23 we have just had a much larger, brand new A/C unit installed. As well as new window screens for most of our windows so you won't need the a/c and you can feel the ocean breeze at night and listen to the waves crashing! New linens, sheets, curtains, appliances etc have been added to the house in DEC '23 for a more updated comfortable stay! Whether surfing the waves, swimming or fishing in the Pacific, walking miles of pristine and secluded beaches, enjoying the world class sunrise/sunsets just steps from your door or relaxing in our rooftop hammocks, adventures await at Casa De Las Olas! Surfs Up! Salinas Grande is a quiet quaint fishing village that is located on some of the most remote secluded coastline of the Pacific Ocean with world class waves and surf breaks with empty line ups for miles. Our local turtle sanctuary is just steps away where you can help with the release of 100s of baby turtles weekly. This area of the Emerald Coast is truly paradise on earth where you can live off the land and from the sea and be one with your surroundings! Note: we ask all guests to be cautious of the unpredictable ocean waves and currents on the Pacific Coast (as in any ocean-front destination) and to enjoy it at your own risk. There are no RESTAURANTS or STORES within walking distance and NO SURF SHOP or RENTALS near by as we are in a very remote location so please make sure to BRING YOUR OWN FOOD and GEAR when travelling. There are some local stores for food and provisions, gas, propane, fish market etc as you come down the road into Salinas Grande so we advise you to stop for any last minute items you might need. Parking is free. We also have local drivers available for a small fee for pickup/drop off, fresh fish/fruit delivery as well as daily trips into Leon and other areas! Please make sure to bring your own FOOD, PROVISIONS AND SURFING GEAR! THIS AREA IS VERY REMOTE AND SECLUDED! There are NO Surf shops near by for rentals. There are some small grocery and convenience stores as well as a fish market on your way to the house near the villages of San Antonio and Salinas Grande but they are not within walking distance from us. We also have local drivers available for a small fee for pickup/drop off, fresh fish/fruit delivery as well as daily trips into Leon and other areas!
