Driveway is gated for privacy and security. The driveway is very steep, be aware that vehicles close to the ground will bottom out at the top and should park below. We do not live on the premises but our co-hosts are local and are available by message, text and phone. Calvache is a quiet residential barrio on the south east side of Rincon. A gas station, bakery and pharmacy provide basic conveniences. A couple minute to Los Almendros beach and El Ultimo Brinco, a secluded swimmable waterfall. Rincon's world famous surf breaks, shopping and restaurants are a quick 10 minute drive west on PR 115. You will need a car in the area or need to hire drivers. There is no public transportation. Fully fenced yard keeps roaming animals away, but you may encounter a stray cat or a few iguanas. Iguanas are afraid of you, so just keep a distance. Be sure to visit Art Walk on Thursday evenings in the Rincón plaza (local artists, many diverse restaurants, live music, Rincon Beer Company for island brews). The Rincón lighthouse is a favorite local spot for beautiful sunsets and an overlook of Domes beach and surf break. Feel like exploring?
