This Hawaiian home, Hale Ohana, is 99 steps from a quiet, public beach just across the street where you can sunbathe, get in the water, & explore the tide pools. The home is designed with two separate units (upper & lower) but is rented as a whole, perfect for large groups & families. The rooftop lanai is great for an evening BBQ to watch the famous Kona sunsets and stargaze the bright night sky. Centrally located, the home is a couple of miles from both downtown Kailua-Kona & relaxed Keahou. The home is designed with two separate units (lower and upper level) but is rented as a whole, making it perfect for groups and large families. It offers separation to wind down in your own space with a glass of wine or to collectively gather for meals and a beautiful island sunset together. The lower floor has one bedroom, a bathroom with a washer and dryer, a living area and kitchen. For larger groups, there is also a queen size pullout couch for extra sleeping arrangements. Upstairs, you'll find a master bedroom with a king bed and an attached bathroom. Another bedroom is off the hallway, as well as a laundry area and a bathroom. The vaulted ceilings in the living room and kitchen provide an open and spacious feel to the space, that is easily enjoyed while relaxing after a day at the beach. Easily access the rooftop balcony from the second floor of the home, by a set of indoor stairs leading up to it. Sunrises and sunsets are absolutely stunning from this location, as you have a 360 degree view of the ocean and mountain. Both floors and almost all out door areas will be free for guests to use, other than a few locked utility and storage areas and the boat stored on the side of the house. I'm just a message away. There is a coffee shop about a mile down the road, as well as a farmers market and convenience store in the same area. We still highly recommend renting a car or even a moped to explore Kailua-Kona and the surrounding areas. There are many beaches, hikes, and unique shops to on the island and having a car ready to go makes it that much simpler. It is our policy to only host guests that have established profiles with reviews, this just helps us make sure that our house is a great fit for our guests. Please note that the water (showers, sinks, etc.) only gets pleasantly warm, not hot.
