This one-of-a-kind property is secluded, yet close to the local restaurants and attractions in Black Mountain/Lake Lure/Chimney Rock/Asheville. Welcome to our a-frame! It has been recently modernized while preserving the MCM features that make it unique. The space is cozy, yet open with plenty of space to relax or connect. The newer walls are hand whitewashed, bringing brightness to the space with new floors and lighting throughout. Living: - The main living space is centered around the original stone fireplace. We have comfortable seating including a couch, recliner and club chairs and an ottoman that can easily be moved to accommodate guests. - A new patio door helps open the space up to the peaceful surroundings and lets in natural light. - A smart tv is available to connect to various streaming platforms via our highspeed internet. - We have family friendly games and a record player with a few of our favorites. - For kiddos, we have a cute play kitchen, books and toys - including a vintage fisher price a frame. - There is plenty of lighting options in this space and a large capacity fan overhead, helping to circulate air. The smart thermostat is also located in this space. Kitchen: - Redesigned to provide a bright, open space with plenty of seating for eating and chats. - Appliances are all new including an oven with an electric stovetop, fridge with freezer and full-size dishwasher. - We also have plenty of small appliances in the pantry cabinet including a microwave, crockpot, blender and toaster. - Fully stocked with cookware and tableware, glasses in various sizes and stemless wine glasses. - The coffee maker can use both ground coffee and kcups, we provide starter cups, tea and supplies. We also have a french press and kettle. - There is a filtered water pitcher in the fridge that can be refilled. - A highchair is available for the littles. Bedrooms: - Two downstairs bedrooms feature queen size beds, bedside tables with touch lamps and space for both hanging and folded clothes. Each has a room darkening shade for privacy and a sound machine to help with peaceful sleep. - One has an ensuite bath with a full-size tub/shower combo. - The upstairs loft features four single beds and a fully updated half bath. While it is open to below, the beds are tucked back and private. This space also features privacy curtains, a private balcony, a sound machine and small floor fan. - A pack & play is available for littles, with a mattress cover and backup sheets. Baths: - Our bathrooms are fully renovated with new vanities, fixtures and tile. The are designed to give guests plenty of space for getting ready and storage. - There is one hallway bathroom downstairs with a spacious shower and double vanity. There is another full ensuite bath featuring a full size tub. - We provide full size Public Good toiletries in each shower. Laundry: - A new, full-size washer and dryer are off the kitchen space, tucked behind bifold doors. - A stick vacuum, broom and dustpan and swiffer are located here as well in the event you need them during your stay. Office/Desk: - A small work space is tucked under the stairs. Outdoor Space: - Secluded, private space on 4 acres. - The back deck features a hot tub and plenty of seating for guests including lounge chairs, moveable tables and a dining area. A stainless-steel gas grill is available for grilling out under the stars. Plenty of stars on a clear night and a peek at Eagle Rock in the distance. - The front porch has rocking chairs and is a perfect spot to have morning coffee. - The small upstairs balcony overlooks the trees. - The gravel driveway is lined with solar lights as you approach the house and has plenty of space, with a turnaround area at the top.
