There will be exciting new restaurants and spa offerings for those who want to splurge a bit! PLEASE NOTE: our condo is not located on water, nor does it have a water view. Guests can enjoy access to the private entrance to the Owner’s Beach Club just steps from the water. Mauna Lani has two championship golf courses and tennis courts. Restaurants, grocery store and shops are located within the resort. It's a great base for discovering all the magic the Big Island of Hawaii has to offer. -Guests have complete access to the townhouse, private lanai with gas BBQ, and the Fairways pool and spa. - The fitness room is available from 6am to 9pm. Each condo has a time limit of one hour per day. Access code is 8624. - Guests have access to ONE parking space only. There is no additional parking available in the vicinity. -A key card admits you to the private entrance and parking at Owner's Beach Club, located at the south end of Kaniku Drive, about a 3-4 minute drive from the condo. - While both the Auberge Resort and Fairmont Orchid have public beach access, only registered guests are allowed to use the amenities. We recommend using the Beach Club. There are free cabana chairs available on a “first come” basis, but we provide beach chairs also. -There are two championship golf courses in Mauna Lani. Please call the Clubhouse for rates. Tennis courts are located at the Auberge Spa and Fitness Club. Please call for reservations. Owners live in Kailua Kona and are available by phone for advice or consultations. We collect and report our taxes as required by law. The state and local tax of 17.9% is included in the booking total. The Mauna Lani Resort is a special place nestled along a beautiful stretch of coastline under the watchful eye of Mauna Kea Summit. You will feel the Mana of the ancient Hawaiian gods as you stroll through the ponds and trails on the property. Don't be fooled by listings in Waikoloa which show photos of Mauna Lani. They only wish they had what we have! Located about twenty minutes north of Kona International Airport on the Kohala Coast just minutes from some of the worlds most beautiful beaches. Kailua Kona is about thirty minutes south. The Mauna Kea Visitors Center is about an hour away. Volcanoes National Park is about two hours away. Hilo is about one and a half hours away. This is the "Big Island," but you can circle the entire island in one day if you wanted to. While there is "shared ride" transportation to the resort, we highly recommend a rental car to explore the island. Mauna Lani Resort is approximately a twenty minute drive north of the airport. It is located on the dry Leeward side of the island just minutes from some of the worlds most beautiful beaches. It is about 30 minutes north of Kailua Kona, 1-1/2 hours to Hilo and 2-1/2 hours to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Getting around the resort is best done by car. You could walk to The Shops at Mauna Lani (grocery store and restaurants) about a half mile from the Fairways gates, as is The Fairmont Orchid Hotel. The Beach Club and Mauna Lani Bay Hotel are not within walking distance. - OUR CONDO IS NOT LOCATED DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH. We recommend the Owner’s Beach Club. It’s only a 3 minute drive from the condo and you will have access to the private parking lot just steps from the beach. - The unit sleeps 5 comfortably. We make allowances for 1 additional infant or small child. There is a queen size bed in the master suite, and a queen size bed in the second bedroom. There is a twin size EZ Bed that inflates at the touch of a button. It can be easily moved from room to room as needed. It is stored in the downstairs bedroom closet. Washing machine and dryer located in the downstairs hallway. - Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and cooking utensils, pots and pans. Outdoor kitchen has a Viking propane grill and sink, dining area for six and conversation area for four. It is a very private end unit with large green area adjacent and overlooking one of the Francis H. Brown championship golf courses. - Toshiba 50in. Amazon Fire Smart TV in Family Room. Flat screen TV in both bedrooms. All three have Spectrum digital cable and Wifi. - PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE PROPERTY AND HOUSE CLEANERS. Your cleaning fee entitles you to 4 hours of standard cleaning. -"ONE TOWEL" POLICY: - Extra laundry causes a major expenditure of electricity, wwater and labor. To help reduce waste we are implementing a "One Towel" per Guest Policy. Each guest is allotted one set of towels (Beach, Bath, hand and wash cloth) per stay. If you wish to use more there will be a $50 charge. We provide laundry detergent at no additional cost. - DUE TO THOUGHTLESS GUESTS WE ARE INSTITUTING THE FOLLOWING EXTRA CHARGES: - $25 for not removing trash and recycling. - $25 for leaving open food on counters. - $25 for leaving dirty dishes in sink or on counters, liquids, spills or sticky residue on counters or floors. -$50 for use of extra towels/sheets. - PLEASE REMOVE SAND FROM CLOTHING AND TOWELS OUTSIDE. - EXTRA CLEANING CHARGES $50/ hr. may be charged against your Security Deposit. - Please use extreme caution when operating the BBQ grill. First open the valve on the propane tank located under the grill. DO NOT turn it all the way to the left tightly as it can get stuck in the "On" position. Next turn the three knobs on the right to "Hi." Then open and close the lid once, press the ignition button and wait for it to light. Open the lid and adjust the flame or turn off burners you don't need. The left knob is only for the rotisserie attachment. Please turn off the valve on the gas tank when you are finished. - Smoking is not allowed in or anywhere near the property or in any of the Fairways common areas such as the pool. You could forfeit all, or part of your deposit if evidence of smoking is found. - State of Hawaii Tax Permit TA-052-312-5760-01 - Please note: State and local tax of 17.9% is included in all bookings. -We try to accommodate LATE CHECK OUT when possible, but it's not always available. -Please help save energy by keeping doors and windows closed when using the air conditioner. We have installed a "Smart" thermostat which has been programmed to maintain the temperature at 75 degrees. On very warm days you may set the temp lower, but please DO NOT set it below 72.
