Our kid and pet friendly home on Madison's East Side is a short distance to some of the funkiest and most eclectic parts of the city, and just a short drive to the rest of what Madison has to offer! The house comes fully stocked with cooking essentials, a private workspace, free parking, and more. Whether you're in town for a Badger game, visiting friends or family, or just want to explore the city, this is an ideal home base to explore all of the city! The best part - NO CLEANING FEE!!! This house has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom, along with 3 additional beds in the finished section of the basement. The first bedroom has a KING size bed, the second bedroom has a queen size bed, and the 3 additional twin sized beds in the basement. All sleeping areas have blackout shades. The kitchen is fully stocked with a full size fridge/freezer, pots/pans/utensils, coffee maker, along with a complimentary tea and coffee. Do you have little ones? Look no further! As travelers with young children, we've considered all of the not-so-easy aspects of leaving home with kids. In the home, you will find a gate for the stairs, crib, noise machine, baby monitor, bed bumpers, high chair, booster seat and children's dishes/bowls/utensils to accommodate our guests with little ones. No need to pack and travel with all of those extra items - they are available for use during your stay! Please note that the crib is located in the finished portion of the basement. The pack n play could be used if your little one needs to sleep upstairs! Traveling with pets? Consider staying with us! We would happily welcome furry friends during your stay. Just make sure to include them in your reservation. Working remotely during your stay? We have fast wi-fi available and a full workstation in the main bedroom equipped with a single desk, desk chair, 24" monitor with HDMI connector, and (wired) keyboard. All you need is your laptop and mouse! We have local antenna for over-the-air cable television to the main living room TV and the basement TV. The living room TV and bedroom TV are Roku smart TV and are in guest mode - just input your trip dates upon turning on each TV and BYOS (bring your own streaming). Sign into your own streaming services, and when you check out, they automatically log you off of all accounts. Easy! The neighborhood is overall pretty quiet and relaxed! But please note, our direct neighbors on each side do have pups of their own, and they do get excitable when they see people outside at our home! Please be respectful to them and the neighbors, and once you are inside they are very quiet. Also, note that the home is close to both the airport and train tracks. You will occasionally hear planes taking off and landing as well as occasional trains a few blocks away from inside the home. We do have oscillating fans/white noise machine to try and accommodate all of our guests that may be light sleepers! NOTE - Public Health Madison and Dane County License #: LICHMD-2023-00117 $500 maximum daily rate Guests will have access to the almost the whole house and fully fenced in yard during their stay. With the exception being the garage will remained locked, and the back half of the unfinished portion of the basement is off limits please. Thank you for understanding! There is free parking in the driveway, enough to accommodate about 4 standard sized vehicles. If parking on the street, please be aware of the local laws. Opposite side parking is in effect November through March. If it snows during your trip, there will be a shovel provided - guests are responsible for basic snow removal during their stay, with the exception of snow over 1" we do have a service come to the home to remove as needed. During the spring through fall, we have a lawn care company take care of lawn maintenance every other week, usually around 8am Monday/Tuesday mornings. Although we will not be available onsite during your stay, we are a short message away from helping you with whatever you may need! ~ 4 mins to I90/I94 interchange (easily get to anywhere in Madison or head towards Milwaukee/Wisconsin Dells from here) ~ 4 mins to Madison College ~ 5 mins to Olbrich Botanical Gardens ~ 7 mins to Dane County Regional Airport ~ 7 mins to East Towne Mall ~ 10 mins to Wisconsin State Capital ~ 15 mins to UW Madison campus (including Kohl Center, Camp Randall, and Memorial Union Terrace) ~ 15 mins to Alliant Energy Center Message us if you're interested in staying for an extended period of time - discounts available! A month to month lease as well as additional guest information will need to be collected for extended stays. There is also a canoe and lifejackets available for use if desired during your stay. Enjoy some time on either Lake Monona (~5 min drive to Olbrich Park Boat Launch) or Lake Mendota (~8 min drive to Tenney Park Boat Launch). However, please note by booking this property, you agree that the hosts are not liable for any injury/damage when using the canoe outside of the property.
