Contemporary boutique studio located steps from Waikiki beach, Kapiolani Park, Honolulu Zoo, family-friendly activities, restaurants, nightlife, & public transportation - all within walking distance. You’ll love my place because of the fully equipped kitchenette and comfy bed. Great for couples, solo adventurers, biz travelers, and small families (bed & futon sleeps up to 3). Carefully cleaned & disinfected after every stay. My condo was completely renovated, from the granite counter-tops to the travertine flooring to the solid wood furniture. It has a comfortable queen bed and double-size futon and is the best location in Waikiki. You're right across the street from Waikiki Beach and the zoo. There is a fully stocked kitchenette ready for cooking meals. Waikiki beach is about 50 yards away. Beach towels, boogie board, sand toys, snorkel gear and cooler bag are all provided for my guests to enjoy. The kitchenette has everything you'd need to cook a meal (pots/pans, knife set, cutting board, spatulas and other cooking utensils, double table-top burner, toaster/bake oven, microwave, rice cooker, electric water kettle, and a good sized refrigerator/freezer). The condo is 363 square feet and in the living area guests can relax with free wifi and 40" flat screen TV with cable, comfy queen bed, and new plush full size futon. The building has fiber optic cable to the room, so the internet speed is fantastic. End table by the bed has 2 USB ports & outlet for your cell phone chargers or laptop! We also provide shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, so you can leave those at home. -- Free Wifi -- Window AC -- 40" Flat screen HDTV, cable -- Pool -- Rooftop lounge area with gorgeous ocean views -- 24 hour front desk/security personnel -- Fully stocked kitchenette for full meal prep -- Single serve Keurig-style coffee maker with complimentary coffee (no sugar or creamer) -- Refrigerator -- Iron/ironing board -- Hairdryer -- Laundry facility in basement -- Public piano in lobby I have 6 other units in the same building. Please see my profile for the other listings and great reviews. PARKING INFO: The best thing about Waikiki is that everything is walking distance. You really only need to rent a car for days you want to venture out to other parts of the island. There is no parking included with this apartment. There's a small parking lot in the building for $25/day - You will need to call and/or email Waikiki Grand Hotel directly to reserve a spot. I recommend doing it as early as possible because the spots fill up quickly. Other places to park: You may be able to find free parking around Kapiolani park which is about a 5 minute walk. "Paki Street" along the side of the park and along Monsarrat St. Kapiolani Park has free metered parking from 6pm-10am daily and all-day on Sundays. Across the street, you can park at the zoo for only $1.50 an hour. This can be the cheapest option since you only pay for what you need. I provide a more detailed parking information with a parking map in the Welcome Packet inside the condo. GETTING AROUND: Bike sharing stations "Biki" are available all around. Mopeds and 2-seater 3 wheeled mopeds are available for rental right along Lemon Rd. There's also car sharing service such as Turo.com and Drivehui.com. There are multiple bus routes just steps away. Look on Thebus.org for more info. Uber and Lyft are also used regularly around here. I recommend only renting car or use Turo or Drivehui on days you plan to go North Shore or explore the entire island. Everything else is walking distance or easily accessible by bus, Uber, or Lyft. I don't live at the building, but I do live on the island (other side of Oahu.) The best way to contact me is through the Airbnb messager and I respond quickly. If you need to call for emergency reasons, go ahead. The front desk is there to assist and you can always call the front desk (after hours, there is a security guard that will pick up.) The name of the building is Waikiki Grand and each unit is individually owned and none of the units look alike on the inside. The building is located right on the edge of Waikiki and what is called The Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is essentially where all the local go when they say they are going to Waikiki. Theres a great beach there called Kaimana beach, it's great for playing and for swimming. Theres a flag that a lot of people swim to that is about 1/8 a mile away. You'll see fish and turtles on on you swim to the flag and back. Across the street from the building is the Honolulu zoo and you can see Flamingos from the 10th floor deck. There's a Starbucks, Teddy's Bigger Burger, ABC store all right as you walk out the building. I heard from guests that they love breakfast at Lulu's. If you are a runner there's a place the you can jog around Kapiolani Park, it's a little over one mile if you go all around it. Now, if you want a longer run you can run with hills you can run around Diamond Head which is a little of 3.2 miles. Foodies- Great restaurants are always entering the market in Waikiki and it's surrounding areas. Dukes is a staple and will most likely always be around, but there plenty of other awesome ones that you can find on Yelp.com. Yelp will have all the latest and most accurate information on restaurants, if you don't like Yelp then just do a search for restaurants and you'll learn something great. I strongly recommend you take surf lessons, try canoe surfing which is very easy, and do the sunset sail. Queen Kapiolani Hotel next door rent surf boards for those who are interested. These are activities that people that live here still do, very memorable and relaxing activities. Most of my guests don't get rental cars since everything in Waikiki is within walking distance. If you're planning on spending time at the beach, you don't need a car. Shopping and dining are all within walking distance. Uber/Lyft are readily available and our bus system in Honolulu is great. The bus stop is right around the corner. In addition, bike sharing station is also close by. There is no parking included with this apartment. There's a small garage at the building for $25/day (new rate of $30/day starting Jan. 1, 2023). Guests are to contact the building directly for reservation. I recommend contacting them as early as possible since the lot fills up quickly. For other less expensive street parking options, please ask me for a parking map and I can forward to you. If you prefer to rent a car, a good option to look at car sharing service such as Drive Hui. It's a service similar to Turo and there are two parking stalls right next to the building. You can rent cars by the hour, day, etc. And, it would come with it's own dedicated parking stall. Not only is it cheaper than a traditional car rental, by the time you include parking, it's a big saving. About half of my guests with rental cars don't park in the building and choose to find inexpensive and even free street parking. You are coming at the peak season and parking is going to get harder to find, but it is possible. Most will only hunt for free street parking for overnight parking and use the Honolulu Zoo lot across the street ($1.50/hr) for shorter trips back to the condo. You have full run of the studio and amenities of the building. There's a laundry facility, pool, and a sundeck on the 10th floor of the building. It's a great place to relax while getting a spectacular view of the ocean and Diamond Head. It's a great place for coffee at sunrise and relax with wine at sunset.
