This apartment is on the 10th floor of an 11th floor building. The sunny living room faces south, with views over the neighborhood and Chemin de la Côtes-des-Neiges (snowy slopes). The two bedrooms have views of the mountain: Mount Royal, and are facing quiet residential areas. Access. There are 2 modern elevators. Security: Canada is a safe country. Montreal is a safe city. Both Quebec and Canada provide social networks for education and re-employment. Public Health care and mental healthcare means psychological issue affect people less. Canada has restricted access to firearms. The national police the RCMP, the Quebec police and the Montreal police forces are well trained and are all well funded. You shouldn’t see military forces - except in a parade! The neighborhood is safe and secure. The front street is busy and dynamic. The front door is controlled with a fob. The apartment door has a keyed deadbolt lock. Safety: Interior stairs. And external emergency stairs. The entire building has smoke detectors and emergency water sprinklers. In the Summer there are three, new and modern, quiet and maintenance-free, hand-held-remote-controlled, portable-style (on rollers) air conditioners. You control the temperature, independently, not a building manager. There are no restrictions on AC use. Or if you prefer no AC to sleep, there are 2 celling fans, and 2 portable fans. Each bedroom has 9000 BTU. The living room has 12,000 BTU of quiet cooling. Ahhhh. Natural materials: Lots everywhere; real plank, Quebec-sourced, genuine maple hardwood, that doesn’t creak, in the living room, kitchen, hallway and bedrooms. Real tile in the 2 bathrooms. Granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms. All 7 windows have matching granite ledges. All windows have wood Venetian blinds in each window. Storage: one closet per bedroom and a closet in the hallway. Coat hooks in the entrance. In the academic year our children, students at McGill and Concordia, live full-time in the apartment. So there are 2 locked-off closets, and a closed cabinet in the kitchen. Otherwise the entire appartement is yours to use and enjoy. In the apartment there is a closet with a front-loading washer and a front loading dryer. Laundry detergent and fabric softener are provided. And plenty of other cleaning supplies, such as Vacuum cleaner, mop, broom at your ease. Also in the closet is a rolling grocery cart, Parisian style. A hair dryer is located in the master bedroom’s bathroom for your convenience and use. Ahhh coffee. 4 options: There is a Bosch Tassimo pod coffee maker (some pods provided), an IKEA French press. A classic Italian-stovetop-espresso maker. And a standard filter drip coffee maker. Blender for margaritas, rice cooker, stove top kettle, toaster. Rooftop barbecue.
