Casa Ibu is a spacious and stylish luxury 4 bedroom home (A/C's and King size beds) with surrounding gardens and private pool located in the heart of Costa Rica's blue zone, on a 4 acre (1.6 hectare) private estate with expansive views overlooking the jungle and ocean. The 4 bedroom Villa is equipped with a complete and professional kitchen, outdoor bathtub garden, sliding screen doors, blackout curtains, and A/C's in each bedroom, ceiling fans throughout the house, and a fast 200 Mbps fiber optic internet connection. There is a pool down in the garden in front of the house for the guest's private use. The deck around the pool is an open canopy in the forest and a nice place to star gaze at night. Casa Ibu is the largest of 3 houses located on a private estate. The owners, who are the friendly and laid back hosts, Jonathan and Chantelle, live in one of the houses. The other house is an existing Airbnb 1 bedroom casita named Casa Khoisan. Away from the busy chaos of town, the secure and gated property is surrounded by nature and wildlife with unobstructed views of nothing but the jungle valley and ocean. It is located in the tranquil and desirable Santiago Hills neighborhood, on top of a ridge of hills above Playa Hermosa in North Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Playa Hermosa is a popular beach in the area that is well known for its beauty and incredible waves for all levels from beginners to experienced surfers. It is known to be the best beach for surf instruction. The small, united and friendly community has a few nice cafes and restaurants, a surf shop with board rentals and surf instructors, as well as a small grocery store. The drive from the house down to the beach/Playa Hermosa village takes a quick 5 minutes on a main public road, and the drive to the bustling area of downtown Santa Teresa takes around 12 -1 5 minutes. Walking to the beach takes 30 minutes. Having your own transport is highly recommended. The house comes with parking spaces for 3 cars and 2 ATV's within the gated and secure property grounds. Guests are welcome to walk around and take a tour of the property. They can follow a trail that leads downhill which passes through a growing food forest consisting of many varieties of fruit trees including mangos, starfruit, guanabanas, avocados, cacao and coffee to name a few. Guests are allowed and encouraged to harvest and eat any fruit that is ready to pick. They may encounter birds such as parrots, woodpeckers, lesson's mot-mots, long tailed manakins, or collared aracaris. They may also encounter animals such as howler monkeys, capuchins, armadillos, coatis, jaguarundis, ocelots, tayras, or kinkajous. Further down the land they will pass a citrus orchard and eventually reach the bottom of the valley where the property ends at a small river that has a waterfall and pool in the rainy season (May to November). Here, guests will enjoy a beautiful and private place in the middle of the jungle surrounded by nature, feeling as if they had a national park all to themselves. We as hosts are available for guest interaction throughout their stay and are contactable via What'sApp. Located in the beautiful Santiago hills above north Santa Teresa's much loved beach Playa Hermosa. A safe and desirable neighborhood, many long time residents of ST have settled in this peaceful area to be surrounded by nature and escape from the now busy streets of town while still being only a 5 minute drive down to the surf and to the relaxed and friendly beach community of Hermosa. Own transport is highly recommended (we advise to make vehicle reservations ahead of time especially in peak season). a 4x4 or ATV is best, high clearance SUV is acceptable, and a sedan is doable, but not recommended especially during the rainy season months from May to October. The house comes with gated and secure parking for 3 cars and 2 ATVs. Please be aware that there is no gas station in Santa Teresa. The last gas station before arriving is in the town of Cobano, about 30 minutes outside of Santa Teresa, so it would be best to fill your gas tank there when you are driving on your way to the property.
