Welcome to The Loft on Pushaw Lake, in Hudson, Maine. Located 30 min from Bangor and 5 min from a small market, The Loft has everything you need for the perfect stress-free get away. Explore year round, what Maine has to offer from fishing, kayaking or hiking nearby trails during summer, to ice fishing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling in the winter. Relax here with the panoramic view of the lake during the day, to the beautiful sunsets and sitting around the fire listening to the loons at night. You will have the entire place to yourself. Our house is located less than a half mile in on a private dirt road. A boat launch (no dock), at the beginning of the road is available for use, but you will need to park your vehicle and trailer at the house, there is no space to leave it at the landing/launch area. The entryway is up the deck stairs and accessed via a keypad on the door. The open floor plan from the kitchen to the living area overlooks the lake through the wall of windows and sliding glass door that leads out to the deck. Start your day enjoying your morning coffee/breakfast while taking in the fresh air, the songs of the birds and beauty of the lake from the deck. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans for cooking, a k-cup machine and tea bar area along with basic cleaning supplies. The open concept living/dining area includes a table with 4 stools, a leather power sectional couch, leather recliner and large smart TV. Fiber optic Wi-Fi throughout makes streaming and working remotely a breeze. This year-round home will keep you cool during the summer months and warm during the winter months with the heat pump located in the main living space. All bedrooms are located on the roadside of the house with windows that look out to the woods. *The master bedroom has a king bed, 2 dressers, TV equipped with a Roku, workstation and a half bath attached. There is plenty of closet space in this room for hanging clothes or storing items. *The second bedroom has 2 twin beds. In the closet is a small dresser, a shelf with books, kids' and family games along with coloring books, some art supplies and extra space for storing items. *The third bedroom has a queen bed, an armoire and a TV equipped with Roku along with closet space for hanging clothes or storing items. Each room has nightstands with charging ports mounted on them. You can find extra blankets and linens in the bedroom closets and an electric heater, ironing board and iron in the master bedroom closet. The main bathroom comes stocked with towels, wash clothes and hand towels for bathing and beach towels for swimming along with a first aid kit, extra toilet paper, paper towels and basic cleaning supplies. There is laundry on site downstairs in the unfinished basement. Also down there is a second refrigerator and exit/entrance to the waterfront via a pull-up garage style door. The outdoor space includes. *a fire ring with wood *grill *plastic chairs *picnic table with umbrella *corn hole game and space for other activities. -There are 2 kayaks and a paddle board on site with life jackets located in the outdoor box under the deck, Maine law requires everyone to have a life jacket. -Enjoy fishing from the dock or walk down the dock stairs into the water for a swim or float. *There are other options for getting out on the lake during your stay. If you’d like a sunset cruise, a tour of the lake, fall foliage ride, a couple hours of fishing or taking the kids out to the middle to jump off and swim, these are all add on options that can be requested scheduled weather permitting.* Take time relaxing in this stress-free space while making lasting memories on the lake. Guest will have access to the whole space in this split ranch style house. The top floor is the main living area, and the bottom floor is unfinished basement where the laundry is located along with a second refrigerator and access out the pull-up to open, garage style door to the waterfront space. The driveway can park 3 vehicles and there’s plenty of room across the street for other vehicles and boat trailers. Whether a day trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park for sightseeing/tourist attractions or an adventure to Baxter State Park for hiking and enjoying nature at its finest, is on your ‘To Do’ list, the central location of The Loft makes day travel easy: 1 - 1.5-hour drive. Or if you want to stay close, 5min down the road you can find Roger’s Market. Located in the heart of Hudson, Maine, Roger’s has been serving the general community for over four decades. Open 365 days a year, they are your one-stop shop, with friendly faces, competitive prices, and a little bit of everything: including hot meals, gas and propane. The Loft is approximately 30min to Bangor International Airport and 15min from I-95. During your stay we are available by text or phone and are close by if something needs to be addressed. The Loft is located on a quiet private road that lakeside residents enjoy walking, jogging and riding bikes on. Please keep everyone safe by abiding by the 15mph posted speed limit on this section of roadway. Please use the stairs attached to the dock to access getting in and out of the lake. The rocks are there to help preserve the shoreline and are not safe to walk/play on. There are 3 mooring balls that are located in the water that will be relocated at some point this summer… if you have a boat and would like access to mooring it, please let us know and we can work something out. We do not advise leaving a boat tied to the dock overnight due to the possibility of winds and waves causing damage to the boat and or the dock. Please note, the lake is used for many activities such as, swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding and much more.
