The villa can sleep 1-6 guests with 3 bedrooms -- the house is EXCLUSIVELY for the guests that rent this property. The primary bedroom is in the main house, with 2 additional bedrooms circling the interior courtyard. Bliss By The Sea compliments the natural beauty of its setting. Located on one of the most pristine beaches in Treasure Beach, Jamaica — Great Bay Beach. Frolic in the sea or enjoy the pool and sun deck, which is perfect for sunbathing or enjoying a cocktail while witnessing spectacular sunsets. All the modern conveniences available - satellite TV in the living room - complimentary WiFi - well-equipped kitchen - air-conditioned bedrooms - full services provided (cook and housekeeper) - wonderful ambiance. The beach house is tastefully furnished in a clean yet rustic fashion with rich tile floors, teak furniture, and Jamaican art. The large, open-concept dining/living area and the primary bedroom have sets of French double doors that open directly onto the covered verandah and a large pool with direct views of the Caribbean Sea. The interior courtyard with a patio offers an additional lounge area. On the other side of the property, tucked away in the shade of Lignum Vitae trees, is a wooden gazebo with a picnic bench and hammock -- an idyllic spot to enjoy a meal, read a book, take a nap, or just relax. The property is very private, down a long, unnoticed driveway. Guests have access to the entire house (no other guests) - - courtyard, kitchen/dining/living area, patio, pool and gazebo. Jennifer, your house manager/cook, will greet you upon your arrival and give you keys to the property as well as answer any questions you may have (wifi login, general neighborhood details, etc.). If you would like an arriving meal, we will discuss and organize your details (food allergies, dietary restrictions, strong food dislikes) and relay them to Jennifer. You pay her after you get settled by receipts and records. This rustic Jamaican seaside getaway is located in the small, sleepy fishing village of Great Bay on the South Coast of Jamaica. It is a quiet village comprised of a small, close-knit group of wonderful, warm, friendly, laid-back people. Unspoiled by crowds and noise other than the sea waves, Bliss provides an unsurpassed setting for sunbathing, walks, and dips in the sea. Magical sunsets, the ever-present brown pelican, and hummingbirds - a truly ideal location. It is a perfect place to decompress and check out from the business of daily life. The closest international airport to Treasure Beach is Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay. Bliss By The Sea is approximately 60 miles from the airport and takes about 2.5 hours by car. The Norman Manley International (Kingston) Airport is 3+ hours away. The drive is an amazing introduction to Jamaica that takes you through the mountain border of the cockpit country and along the Southern Coast. If you plan on renting a car/driving yourself AND Have Never Driven to the South Coast -- Please Make Sure you have enough daylight on your side after you land and rent your car, so you can see the roads and intersections...signs are not always clear and street lights are minimum to none (it is not like driving on the North Coast Highway), and the roads are riddled with crater size potholes. We can also organize a PPV insured/certified driver (Mark) to meet you and take you to a currency exchange (much better rate than airport exchange) as well as to a grocery/liquor/pharmacy store for you to pick up and forgotten supplies for your stay -- bank/credit cards are accepted at these locations. Mark can also be your driver for local outings and excursions. Please inquire about rates. Jamaica’s famous Appleton rum and Red Stripe beer and miscellaneous food staples are available in Great Bay Village just a 10-minute walk down the beach. Any specialty/luxury items should be purchased in either Montego Bay or Kingston on arrival. There is a bear bar/restaurant called the Lobster Pot within a 10-15 minute walk. Other local restaurants, “Cook Shops” and “Rum Bars” are a 10-15 minute drive away. Daily cook and housekeeping are provided. We suggest you pay 15% of the rental rate for staff gratuity. This is paid on island directly to staff at the end of your stay. Stocking of Groceries/Pantry Supplies: Pre-stocking of the villa with food and beverage items can be done for bookings of 3 nights or more. Clients refund Jennifer by receipts and records. PLEASE NOTE - there is a surcharge of US$40 on all shopping bills for each shopping excursion to Black River and Junction, which covers transportation.
