Our charming home is a 10-minute walk from the village center with its famous cafes, theaters, and boutiques. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sunroom or jump on the elliptical before you cross the street to hunt for the oldest graves in the cemetery. Take the 90-minute MetroNorth trip into NYC and return for dinner at any of our outstanding eateries and catch a free concert in the park. Finish your day with a glass of wine on the deck as you watch the sunset over the maples in the back yard. (A portion of the walk is on a road without a sidewalk.) Very quiet neighbors -- some have been in our neighborhood since the 1650s! (We live across the street from one of the oldest active cemeteries in Fairfield County.) We are a short walk from grocery stores, pharmacies, a gourmet bakery, the UPS store, chic cafes, a friendly pub, a quaint diner, the lovely trails around the Ridgefield Recreation Center, and Elements Massage. But on our street itself, you would never know these amenities are so close by. Ridgefield is quite walkable. There is also plentiful free parking on the street and in various municipal parking lots. We are family-friendly, pet-friendly, and remote work friendly. We travel quite a bit, but if we are home when you are staying with us, we will be in our basement suite and you will have complete privacy. We can arrange for you to use the free washer and dryer.
