The Raffia room offers a cozy retreat in Stone Town, featuring a comfortable twin bedroom where you can feel at home away from home. . Equipped with a fan and free wifi access, our Raffia room ensures a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy a shared common space and a private external bathroom for added convenience. Additionally, our user-friendly kitchen allows for meal preparation, while our serene zen environment invites relaxation, mindfulness, and networking with like-minded individuals. Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, or as a solo parent with a kid, the Raffia room provides the perfect retreat during your stay in Stone Town. To reach our location, head to VUGA roundabout in Stone Town, a convenient 15-minute taxi ride from the airport or just 5 minutes from the ferry terminal. From there, take a leisurely 1-minute walk along the side street opposite the Ethiopian restaurant, following Pipaldi Street until you reach our building, directly opposite ACT. If you're coming from the ferry terminal, head towards Forodhani Garden. Pass the Stone Town Gallery and continue straight along the city center main road, which becomes Kenyatta Road. After passing Stone Town Cafe, turn left and continue straight, keeping left at Horizon Hotel. Take the first right after Stone Town House. Upon arriving at our white building with a balcony at the end of the road, ring bell number 525 for assistance. You'll gain entry through our distinctive Double Zanzibari-style doors. If you need transportation arrangements in advance, let us know, and we'll organize a pick-up for you. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you to our accommodation! In the heart of Stone Town, explore the area safely on foot day or night. Getting lost in the narrow streets is normal, but locals will gladly guide you back to the ACT building or VUGA roundabout. Stone Town is safe and quiet, but be mindful of occasional scooters, bicycles, or donkeys hauling loads along the narrow streets. Taxis are available for island-wide travel (approximately $50 USD for 1 hour), or opt for motorbike taxis or 3-wheel bajajis (expect to pay $3 USD for a short trip). However, walking around Stone Town is the easiest way to get around. Nestled in the heart of historic Stone Town, our green house offers a tranquil escape from the bustling streets. Despite its central location, our quiet neighborhood provides a peaceful retreat, just a 5-minute walk from the beach, hotels, and shops. You can immerse yourself in Swahili life from your balcony, enjoying the authenticity of Zanzibar. Explore the town safely on foot, day or night, getting lost in the narrow streets, knowing locals will gladly guide you back. we strive to community immersion. Stone Town is safe and quiet, with taxis, motorbikes, and bajajis readily available for island exploration. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our eco-friendly practices offering sustainable activities like organic farm lunches and cultural tours, enriching your stay with meaningful experiences while contributing to ethical travel practices during your stay with us. The nearest town beaches are good to swim although you can get into a small boat to take you to nearby islands and sandbanks (20 mins / 20 USD p.p.) . Most hotels offer swimming pools with day rates for access and use of swimming pool (expect to pay 5 to 10USD for use of pool, sun beds and towels). Forodhani night market is a 7 minute walk and worth a stroll and eating experience to watch the sunset and the acrobatic jumping off the harbour wall.
