Pasatiempo is a recently renovated and modernized house located directly on Colorado’s surf break, next door to the Iguana Beach Club and just a 15-minute walk from Panga Drops surf break. This spacious and stunning house features four bedrooms in the main house and an optional casita that can be added to the reservation, accommodating up to 10 people comfortably. Each bedroom is equipped with two twin beds that can be combined into a king-sized bed with a plush mattress topper, as well as its own private bathroom, closet, safe, and AC. Two of the bedrooms are situated on each side of the living area with private entrances, direct ocean views, and private patios that connect with the main front patio. The other two bedrooms are satellite rooms located just a few feet from the living area, offering partial ocean views. Enjoy breathtaking views of the world-class wave from the house’s expansive patio, featuring ample outdoor furniture, a refreshing pool, and an atmosphere of tranquility. The house is equipped with air conditioning in every room, 100 mbps fiber-optic internet, and an automatic backup generator that turns on during power outages and provides electricity to the entire house. To make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, the property has a full-time housekeeper, a night guard, and a pool cleaner/gardener who work daily on the premises. Full and private access to the whole property. It is an additional cost to add the casita to your reservation. Our rental management company, Iguana Surf Rentals, is located in the Hacienda Iguana Commercial Area and we are also available by phone or email for anything you might need or to answer or remedy any questions or concerns you might have. We also provide an info guide in the house, with information on activities, hikes, day trip ideas, maps, a restaurant guide, local restaurant menus and more. House Employees: We have 3 employees at the house to make your stay comfortable for you. The pool guy will be there in the morning and leave when his work is completed. The cleaning lady will provide daily cleaning from approximately 9am to 4pm. The night guard will arrive after sunset and leave around sunrise. We are aware that some people are uncomfortable having employees around. During your stay you are welcome to ask Lupe to leave early if you want (she will still be paid for the day). ATM: There is a Banco La Fise ATM in the community that is in the commercial area of Iguana, across from NSR surf shop and next to our office (Iguana Surf Rentals). There is also a BAC ATM located just outside of Iguana’s main gate in the Riviera Market (about 4 kilometers away) that is open from 6am to 7pm. The La Fise ATM inside Iguana is often out of money and doesn't take all cards, so it is a good idea to stock up on cash in Rivas or go to the BAC ATM outside the gates on your way to Iguana. Iguana’s Restaurant and Shopping Options:  Within the community of Hacienda Iguana there are currently five restaurants. The restaurant at the beach club, Pili's Kitchen, serves healthy and delicious plates for lunch and dinner and has a great beach bar with happy hour specials. Iguana Brewery is just across from Scoops and Spoke and serves its locally made artisanal craft beers in addition to a full bar, and doubles as a complete restaurant with breakfast starting at 6am, lunch, and dinner. Scoops and Spokes is an artisan ice cream, coffee, juice, and panini shop. Downtown Iguana is a restaurant with local Nicaraguan cuisine, open for lunch and dinner, and located in the commercial center below Casa Ananas and next to NSR.  Casa Ananas, located above NSR, is open for dinner on selected nights with special menus including seafood, pizza, Italian, Mexican or Thai cuisine. Lastly, La Conquistadora is a Mexican Restaurant in La Joya Commercial Area that is open for lunch and dinner. All of these restaurants with the exception of Pili's Kitchen at the Beach Club and La Conquistadora are all located in Iguana’s growing commercial center where you will also find a La Fise ATM, NSR Surf Shop, Stop and Go Surf Market (groceries), Rios Market (groceries), Iguana Farmacy and First Response Clinic and our office, Iguana Surf Rentals and Real Estate. La Joya Commercial area has Pure Spa and Las Rocas Surf Shop/Boutique store. Amenities Close By but Outside of Iguana: Just outside of Iguana’s gates (3km away) there is the Rivera Market Place with a BAC Bank Branch and ATM, Rivera Market/Grocery Store and Jasco’s Sushi Restaurant. There are many other great restaurants within a 10–20-minute drive from Hacienda Iguana.   Yoga: Drop-in yoga classes are held at the small beachfront palapa at Mark and Dave’s and are $15/person. Mark and Dave’s in the middle of Iguana beach, just south of Panga Drops surf break. If driving it is towards the beach when you reach the roundabout or if you are walking the beach, it is where you see a large palapa and small palapa right next to each other. There is an Intermediate/Advanced Vinyasa Flow class on Tuesdays at 7:30am or Thursdays at 9am or a Beginner/Intermediate Flow class on Tuesdays at 9:30am or Thursdays at 11am and an all-levels flow on Saturdays at 9am. Private, in-house classes are also available upon instructor’s availability. Golf Cart Rentals – We (Iguana Surf Rentals) have multiple 4-passenger or 6 passenger, battery powered golf carts available for rent. The 4-passenger carts are $40/day or $240/week and the 6-passenger golf cart available for $60/day or $360/week.  The golf carts are not allowed outside of the community except to go to the school, playground or baseball field just outside the gates.   Activities: We would also be happy to organize activities and transportation for you during your stay. There will be an info guide in the property with all the activity and day trip options including boat trips (surf, fish, or sight-seeing), catamaran tours, surfboard rentals, surf lessons, surf photography, massage, yoga, moto rentals, bike rentals, golf cart rentals, horseback riding, SUP rentals, kayaking, Spanish lessons and more. Airport Transportation Options: To and from Managua, we can arrange a sedan for $90 for 1-2 people, $100 for 3 people and $110 for 4 people and SUV for $120 for 1-2 people, $130 for 3 people or $140 for 4 people each way or a 15 passenger van (fits 10 people with luggage) for $160/each way. Please just let us know your number of people, preferred type of transportation, exact arrival time, airline and flight number and we can arrange your transportation for you. Your ride does include a stop at the grocery store as well. We can also arrange your airport transportation to and from Liberia, CR. It is $150 for a sedan, $180 for an SUV, $230 for a passenger van for up to 7 people and $250 for a passenger van for 8 or more people. One driver will bring you from the Liberia airport to the border then you will walk across the border and another driver will be on the Nicaragua side of the border with a different vehicle to pick you up. The drivers will help you with the immigration process and stamping on each side of the border and there are bike taxis at the border that you can pay to help with transporting your luggage from one side of the border to the other. The trip from Liberia to Iguana takes 3-5 hours depending on the border crossing. The driver would be happy to stop at a grocery store for you as well. Golf Cart Rentals – We (Iguana Surf Rentals) have multiple 4-passenger, battery powered golf carts available for rent for $40/day or $240/week or 6-passenger golf carts available for $60/day or $360/week.  The golf carts must stay on the interior roads of Iguana except to go to the school/playground just outside the first gate. Car Rentals: There are 2 car rental agency options that are close by or service the Hacienda Iguana community. Alamo/Enterprise/National will deliver and pick up vehicles to and from your rental property in Hacienda Iguana. You can search their cars through the Tola location. The base rate is for up to 4 people and there is an additional per person cost for more than 4 people. The rates are  listed below and please note that Airbnb adds their own fee on top of these rates. This house sleeps a maximum of 10 people. 2023/2024 Rates– (Daily cleaning included) Year Round: $600/night for up to 4p and $50/night for each additional person, 5 night minimum Thanksgiving: $700/night for up to 4 people and $50/night for each additional person, 6 night minimum Holidays (Easter, Christmas and New Years): $800/night for up to 4 people and $50/night for each additional person, 7 night minimum CASITA: $120/night for up to 2 people (All year except holidays) CASITA HOLIDAY: $150/night for up to 2 people Daily housekeeping is provided. Meal Package Info Our meal packages offer you a personal chef whose services include purchasing of fresh food, meal preparation, cooking a delicious meal and cleanup. Breakfast options for you range from pancakes, banana pancakes, French toast, eggs, omelets, gallo pinto, hash browns, fresh fruit, tortillas and/or toast. Served with coffee and freshly made fruit juices. Lunch and dinner generally consist of a meat (chicken, fish, beef, pork, or lobster) with potato, rice and/or tostones alongside a salad and/or fresh veggies. Our chef can also prepare sandwiches, lasagna, tacos, burritos, pasta, hamburgers, BBQ or pizza, or a particular dish of your choice – just ask! If you choose to dine out at any of the local restaurants, we will gladly reimburse you we just ask that you please give us a 24-hour notice that you will not want acertain meal, so our chef does not over prepare. Meal Packages are priced as follows: • 3 meals a day for $40/person/day –includes non-alcoholic beverages and a snack basket • 2 meals a day for $30/person/day –includes non-alcoholic beverages • Only dinner for $16/person or $19/person for lobster or steak dinner – no drinks included Minimum of 4 adults required.
