Located in Mill Creek Cove (a lake favorite), this newly renovated home has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a fully stocked kitchen, and many outdoor opportunities for fun! Water toys are available - Kayaks, paddleboard, paddle boat and lilly pad. Available upon request: Twin fold-out cot Youth cot (no mattress) Booster seat Pack and Play Iron and Ironing board Xtra Folding chairs BOAT AND SWIM DOCK We have a 10 x 24 covered boat slip with a 12 x 28 sun and swim deck. The community boat ramp is conveniently located just next door to the property. Note that the water depth at the dock (and ramp) itself is not suitable for some extra large boats. If bringing a large boat, please contact us in advance for options. ROADS Mostly blacktop, but expect gravel lake roads for the last half mile to the house. FIREWOOD Firewood for a bonfire at the community ramp is available for $35 upon request. LIVE BAIT We recommend Buck Creek Store on O Highway for your live bait needs and there’s also a bait store at the intersection of O & 5 Hwys in Laurie. NEARBY BOAT GAS Lake Burger just down the cove a short distance has a Gas Dock that opens at 9 a.m. WELL WATER Our water has been tested by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and is safe for drinking, bathing and cooking. Additionally, our water softener has a filter as does the refrigerator water supply. Feel free to drink straight from the tap! SEPTIC SYSTEM To avoid the inconvenience of backed up drains and/or slow draining toilets and tubs, please do not flush feminine hygiene products, paper towels or flushable wipes. FLUSH TOILET PAPER ONLY PLEASE! NO FIREWORKS AFTER 11 P.M. Also no fireworks from the dock or the deck. Year-round fireworks is fun and is okay with us, but please be safe and considerate. The community lot next to the property near the water at the boat ramp is a great place to enjoy this activity, but please clean up your trash and debris afterwards. TRASH RECEPTACLES/PICK-UP INFO Racoons, Bears and other animals LOVE trash. Please never leave bags outside the house unless they are in the designated bins at the road. Trash pick-up day is Tuesday. If bins get too full prior to pick-up day, just give us a call and we'll help out! Dock and Boat House are available for guest use. This is a newly renovated property and we're still working on improvements! At this time, we do not allow access to the basement (except in the event of a tornado). Thanks for respecting our private areas! We're just next door if you need anything. Sunset Paradise is in a fairly quiet neighborhood with several full-time residents making it more family-friendly than some of the more populated areas. Expect gravel lake roads for the last small portion of your journey. Parking is on premises and free. There are several spots in the driveway and alongside the road. Public transportation is not much of a thing in this area of the Lake but there are options such as Uber and water taxis if needed. PETS (Dogs only): We love dogs and allow 1 dog for your visit. There is a $75 deposit for your pet and renters are 100% responsible for any damage caused by their pet. Please crate your pet if you leave the premises without them to prevent any potential damage due to separation anxiety. Also, please do NOT allow your dog on the furniture or beds in consideration of future guests who may have allergies to our furry friends. Safety of your pet is important and we do not recommend letting them run loose without you. Some of the wildlife in our area are territorial and could do harm to a curious pup if feeling threatened. Additionally - Please do not bathe your pet in the bathtub or shower. We recommend "DOGGIE PADDLE MOBILE DOG GROOMING" for any grooming needs during your stay.
