Our historic French House has 4 unique accommodations. This apartment is located on the second level. It features a bedroom with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette with fridge, electric kettle, toaster oven, microwave oven and all the essentials you need for a simple meal. It also has a huge furnished private veranda overlooking the hillside and the Atlantic that is ideal for open air relaxation and alfresco dining. This room is perfect for you if you love the idea of being connected to nature and want to experience the true essence of what it feels like living on the tropics in an authentic Caribbean accommodation. The French House boasts commanding panoramic views of Crescent Beach, Industry Bay and the nearby Grenadines. There’s a refreshing saline plunge pool, wrap-around veranda, a self-serve honor-bar, and an open-air great room complete with books and games. All of the guestrooms are adorned with an eclectic selection of antique, vintage, and contemporary Caribbean-style furniture. Each room has mahogany four-poster beds, draped with nets and the sumptuous all-cotton percale linens will have you sleeping so comfortably. All guest has access to a panoramic spacious wrap-around veranda, dining area, self-serve honour bar, open-air great room, fully equipped kitchen (besides your own private kitchenette in the apartment) and the saline plunge pool of French House. We're around the French House to help you but you will have as much privacy as you want. French House is located in the Industry Bay area, on the hilltop of our 65-acre estate, only an eight-minute drive from the Bequia Ferry Dock and busy Port Elizabeth. It is located at one of the most secluded and quietest part of Bequia. It's a short walk to the Turtle Sanctuary, and the Firefly Plantation. It is nestled in the virgin tropical forest, therefore this accommodation is an ideal choice for nature lovers, bird-watching enthusiasts and for guests who appreciate a break from commercialism and getting away from it all! Please note that there is no public bus service to this side of the island. We recommend taking taxis, walks or renting a car during your stay. It's only an 8-minute drive (or 40-minute walk) to Port Elizabeth, the centre of Bequia, and it's a 12-minute drive to the best beaches of Bequia on the Caribbean side of the island. You can rent a car or we can arrange taxis to get you around the island if you prefer not to walk. Please note that there is no public bus service to this side of the island.
