The wall of windows in the large great room, as well as the two huge wrap-around decks, provide magnificent views of the lake and mountains. Additionally, all four bedrooms have a lake and mountain view. The bedrooms are located on three separate floors, which provides privacy for multiple family gatherings. In summer, the light of the full moon glistens across the lake in a golden path right up to your windows. Maximize your time outdoors on the upper and lower decks, both overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake, while cooking a meal on the outdoor grill or sunbathing on the upper deck. Or spend a lazy afternoon lounging in the hammocks on the lower deck, while watching the boats glide by on the lake. In Winter, spend the Holidays enjoying the snow gently falling on the lake and mountains while the glow of the wood burning fireplace warms you. After a day of snowmobiling or snow-shoeing, nestle up on the couch to watch a movie or your favorite show on the large-screen TV, or play games on the checker-board table. The entire home is available to guests, except the locked owner's closet in the main floor bathroom. Parking is available in the driveway, garage, and in the pull-out area located directly in front of the home. All other pull-out areas belong to other neighbors. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, which is only five minutes from the town of Grand Lake and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Grand Lake provides a classic 'old west' town ambiance and fun for the whole family. From there you can enjoy the shops, restaurants, beach, boat rentals, hiking trails, guided and unguided snowmobile and ATV rentals, and more. Nearby, you can also find guided horseback riding. In summer, walk to Trail Ridge Marina, which is located just 100 yards down the road, and rent a boat. The marina offers pontoon and sport-boat rentals. In winter, you can visit the nearby Nordic center, which is located only minutes away near the golf course. The Nordic center offers cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing on groomed trails through the woods, as well as free tubing. There are 300 miles of spectacular snowmobiling trails in Grand Lake, including 150 miles of groomed trails. You can also snowmobile across the lakes in the winter! With Winter Park Ski Area located only 40 minutes away, Grand Lake is the perfect getaway to accommodate all your winter sport activities. Book early as this is a year-round vacation home with a very strong rental history and repeat renters. N/A Rocky Mountain National Park is home to an abundant wildlife population including elk, deer, moose, bears, porcupines and foxes (many of these pass through the rental property as well).
