This is a charming, one-of-a-kind space that allows you to experience the beauty of Trinidad's North Coast. Surrounded by forest and free from urban interference, enjoy sightings of local wildlife and forest flora. Visit beaches that are within easy driving distance of the Forest Den. Breakfast and a guided tour to a nearby waterfall are included in the cost of your stay, as well as drop-off and pick-up to/from Las Cuevas (5 minutes drive) and Maracas Beaches (15 minute drive) during your stay. The property is the private residence of a family of three. They live on the upper level of the house and you will have exclusive access to the room on the lower level which includes its own bathroom. The property is off-grid, with electricity supplied by a small solar set-up. Water is supplied to the property by a nearby spring. The bathroom is plumbed with running water and a flushing toilet. Guests have exclusive access to the downstairs space and its front patio. El Tucuche, the second highest peak in Trinidad, is visible from the front patio. There is an outdoor seating area that guests are free to use and you are also free to walk around the property. The hosts will be available during your stay, to provide breakfast, a hike to the waterfall and information about local flora and fauna, as well as transportation to nearby beaches. This space is located along Zorro Road, Las Cuevas. Zorro is well known for its waterfalls, which are frequented by local hikers. Zorro is a quiet rural village and this is an opportunity to experience being surrounded by tropical forest and the quiet it offers. Included in the stay is drop off and pick up to/from Maracas and Las Cuevas Beaches. Enjoy quiet walks down to the river that runs through the valley and being surrounded by forest and its birdsong. Kitchen facilities are not provided; there is no refrigerator or microwave, for example.
