Casa Floresta Main House consists of large a spacious dining (12 seater table) open planned kitchen and a large sunken lounge room, two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and separate laundry area. The Guest House is connected by a shared patio and consists of a king size bedroom and separate bathroom. We have a housekeeping girl everyday, and 6 days a week our guardian/ gardener is onsite maintaining the property. We can arrange a local cook if you would like for US$20 per day (to be paid direct as Q150). She can purchase groceries for you if you give her Q in San Marcos la Laguna. Casa Floresa is lakefront, in Pasajcap, the quietest area close to San Marcos and Tzununa. The property has its own dock, for boat access/ arrival. There is a walking path from the road with a broken and steep set of steps down to the lakefront, we therefore recommend arriving and traveling about the lake only by boat. Public boats arrive every 15 minutes in both directions from 6am, and it costs Q5 to get to San Marcos or Tzununa. Coming back from San Marcos (direction towards Pana), the last boat leaves at 5.30pm. Coming from Tzununa (direction from Pana) the last boat passes by at 8pm. If you are out later than that you will need to call a private boat (Q125). For parking, we recommend leaving the car in Pana at Muelle Tzanjuyu and taking a public or private boat. This is the home of Forest Path ceremonial works and Sound Ceremony facilitator trainings, we ask for respect of the property as a a Sacred space. This means that if you intend to rent Casa Floresta for parties with your friends, excessive alcohol consumption and or the use of party substances, this is not the place for you, please find somewhere else to rent for your time at the lake. Parties and loud music will not be tolerated at any time. We ask you to remove your shoes in the Temple and in the houses please. We have a beautiful sweet cat called Pandita, this is also her home, please treat her kindly, she enjoys company. With daily housekeeping offered, even those sensitive to cats are not likely to experience any trouble. Simply close the doors at night if you do not wish her to sleep on the sofa inside. The filter tap at the kitchen sink is drinkable water, we have the best filters available in Guatemala, the water is regularly tested to be sure it is maintained as drinkable.
