Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Lake Naivasha sits on the Great Rift Valley floor and is well known for horticulture and as a tourist attraction. Being approximately 95km from Nairobi it’s the most popular weekend destination for friends and family, or the business visitor! Our guest cottages are situated on the south side of the Lake, and are surrounded with plenty of fun activities to do and places to visit. Papyrus Place is a simple 2 bedroom annex attached to our private squash court. The space is bright and spacious, with an open plan living area and small kitchen. Enjoy a cup of morning tea or coffee on the little private patio from the master bedroom, and listen to the owls that roost in the pepper tree in the garden. This cottage is perfect for some peace and quiet and a comfortable bed for those who wish to go exploring Naivasha. There is a communal swimming pool and pool house for everyone to enjoy during day time hours only, not after 7pm. And the fire pit area in the main garden is fun for guests to enjoy as well, watching the hippos come up to graze the lush green grass for their dinner! You may walk around the front of the property and up behind the houses, but please do not enter into or through the other gardens. There are various restaurants and grocery shops not too far from Blooming Oasis. With Hells Gate National Park situated on our doorstep too, there are plenty of fun activities to do around us. By private car is the best option. But there are taxis available and public transport by motorbike (boda bodas) and matatus if you do not have your own transport. Contacts are provided in the file for car hire options too, or you can ask Colleen. Please bring all of your food and drinking water, as our cottages are on a self catering basis. We do supply salt, pepper, spices, fresh herbs etc. If you are lucky you may find an avocado before the monkeys do! Should you like a cook/ chef please notify Colleen, this can be arranged at an extra fee of Ksh 2000 per day, paid directly to the person cooking. Baby food sitting can be arranged directly with one of our house keepers at a fee of Ksh1000 for the evening.
