Come and enjoy the easy life at our cozy beach guest home. You will be a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops in the quaint town of Cardiff by the Sea. Ideal for 2 couples or small families. Private backyard patio, perfect for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. This is a quite, back unit, single story duplex offering a mellow beach vibe with lots of plants and natural light. You will have your own private two car parking space located behind the property. From here you will access the Beach Home through the back gate, where you will have the entire back unit to yourself, including 2 bedrooms, and one bathroom all located in the back of the house, separated by a hallway. The kitchen / dining / living room area use an open floor plan and are located in the front of the house immediately when you walk in. There is very little space for extra guests, that is why we have a house policy of 4 guests maximum. There is a back door located in the kitchen that opens up to a back patio area. In front of this guest home on the same property, there is another home with its own private garden. This area you will not have access to and we ask that you respect the privacy of the neighbors and do not go past the gate located at the end of the entrance corridor. Through the living room windows, you have a view of the front garden. The neighbors enter and exit their home through their garden, so there are shutters that can be closed for extra privacy. We ask that our guests keep the back gate to the property locked and remove any belongings from their vehicle. I prefer to check-in all my guests. If I am not available, the front neighbors, who are also the property owners will check you in. Normal check-in hours are 3-8pm. If you will be checking in outside of normal check-in hours, other arrangements must be made We have a wonderful beach community with fantastic dining and leisure options all within walking distance. We have all of our favorite recommendations for cafes, restaurants, and local beach spots listed in our pamphlet. You will find it on the coffee table or feel free to request a copy and I can share it with you beforehand. There is a train station in Solana Beach, the next town over. Uber and Lyft are active in our area. The Cardiff beaches and all that Cardiff has to offer is a short, 5-10min walk away. The neighbors have a dog that has access only to the front yard, but the dog occasionally barks at other dogs and people walking by on the street. For this reason, we have a no pets policy in the back unit. Additionally, the neighbors are a little older, so we prefer to not have children under 5 years old. A couple notes: There is only AC in the bedrooms, not the entire unit. The back parking spaces are located in the same area as the trash bins (blue is recycling / gray is trash) and the trash is collected on Friday mornings, so please park as to accommodate pulling the trash cans forward on Thursday afternoon.
