The cottage is a 400 sq ft master suite with an open floorplan, vaulted ceilings, a private bathroom, a well stocked kitchenette, and an attached patio with a barbeque, A 65" smart TV hangs over the full-size electric fireplace for a cozy night in. On 8 acres of pasture land, it's next door to the host residence in the rural horse community. Our private 5-stall barn is home to 2 mini's, 3 retired therapy horses, and a beast of a cat. For travelers with horses, we offer overnight pasture: it's gated, hot fenced with a water trough. Pets are welcome; Horses, Dogs, and Cats, but we ask our furry guests to sleep on their own bedding. 1000 feet of private road leads you to park directly in front of the cottage entry. Please don't block the circular driveway to allow service vehicles to drive on through. The patio and front entry bench are desigated smoking (no indoor smoking). the Pet Fee applies to Horses, Dogs and Cats. Our gated hot fenced pasture has a water trough and is a secure rest area for trailered horse traveling with our guests: A grassy relief area is designated for all pets. Guests can always call me directly or come to the ranch house if there's an emergency. Each season offers a unique experience: even our rainy season is comfy and cozy for relaxing inside. Winter typically surprises us with a week or two of snow lasting just long enough to enjoy its peaceful beauty. We witness hundreds of geese land in our pastures during their migration from September through October. In early spring and also the fall, the frogs serenade us with their evening song. We are visited by a variety of birds, and the Herons maintain a nest in the marsh and feed on bass from a nearby lake. This is why the property is named "The Heron's Nest. "... you may see them in flight if you are lucky. We are located in a BattleGound's rural area just off the 219/502 highway and near the I5 freeway, offering easy access to local sights and activities. A car is needed as public transportation is not available here. However, Taxi, Uber, and various food deliveries do service our address location. AirBnB COVID-19 guidelines are strictly followed to ensure all surfaces, floor appliances, bedding, towels, and linens are properly cleaned and sanitized before each guest stay. When our burn ban is lifted, a propane firepit table and chairs will be available to roast marshmallows, watch the migrating geese land in the pasture, or witness our beautiful sunsets.
