The unit is a 1-bedroom suite + kitchenette + exclusive lanai. Ample privacy from the owner family of two who live in the main wing. The property sits on the Kohala mountain slope. The white sand beaches of Kauna'oa (Mauna Kea), Hapuna, Waialea Bay, Spencer, and Mau'umae, as well as Puako Beach Drive, are all within 5-8 miles of the property. This beautiful one-bedroom-suite guest wing has returned to the vacation rental operation and it welcomes 2 guests to experience the beautiful life on the Kohala coast. Manaharmony Hawaii is a 3-acre property located in Kohala Estates, an agricultural subdivision on the beautiful Kohala coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, merely 4 miles north of Kawaihae harbor. The house has two wings under the same dwelling structure - the main wing and the guest suite wing. The host is the property owner and the original creator of this home who lives in the main wing. Ohana Harmony is the guest suite wing of the property with 556 sq. ft. of inhabitable space and another 230 sq. ft. of exclusive guest wing lanai. The home is custom-designed and custom-built which was completed in August 2016. -One-bedroom suite with a spacious living area and a pocket door separating the bedroom area. -Outdoor bistro table and chairs and a daybed on the lanai -Kitchenette with a bar sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle, rice cooker, Dash Rapid Egg maker, blender, Brita water filter jug, refrigerator, dinnerware and drinkware for two persons. NO STOVE. -Tabletop BBQ below the lanai. -King bed and closet -En-suite bathroom with shower over tub -Dedicated washer/dryer on the lanai -No A/C. Ceiling fans in every room including the bathroom and the lanai. -Spectrum Cable internet access via WIFI, Vizio TV with Smartcast feature. No TV channels provided. -Easy-carry scuba gear rinsing and drying area (Shared area with property owner) -Beach chairs, beach towels, cooler and blue ice -Outdoor shower with ocean view next to the ohana clothesline -Parking on the left edge of the driveway, or off the street on the property along the cul-de-sac. Private 1- bedroom suite wing of the home, the ohana lanai, ohana washer/dryer on the lanai. NO STOVE. NO A/C. No pool access. I make the best effort to greet, meet, and welcome my guests at arrival and show all amenities. Socializing is welcome and is up to the guests' choosing. Aloha and peace are my social gesture. Kohala Estates is an agricultural-zoned subdivision of dry pastures that is not a gated community. The climate is arid. No street lights, as a result, stargazing is spectacular. In general, the neighborhood is quiet and tranquil. However, it is a local neighborhood and the property owner has no control over construction noises, neighbors' activities, or yard/field maintenance noises. While the property shares the zip code with Waimea (Kamuela/96743), it does not share the weather of Waimea. The Big Island has various micro-climate pockets. The property is located at 500 feet elevation in a dry area. Daytime outdoor temperatures in the warm months are mid to high 80's; in the cool months, high 70's to low 80's. To check the weather, Kawaihae is the nearest weather report location. The property is located on a private and paved road. Sloped topography. Must drive to reach supplies and activities. Low traffic. Very pleasant to take walks in early morning or late afternoon when the sun is not too strong. Without leaving the unit, guests can view Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai mountains and the Kohala coast. Kauna'oa (Mauna Kea), Hapuna, Waialea Bay, Spencer, and Mau'umae beaches, as well as Puako Beach Drive are all within 5-10 miles of the property. The town of Waimea (Kamuela), Mauna Lani resort, and Waikoloa Beach Resort are 20-25 minutes away by car, providing ample choices of restaurants, grocery shopping, and resort lifestyle. Two scuba dive companies along with kayak and ocean tour operators operate their boats within a 10-20 minutes driving distance from the property. While the property shares the zip code with Waimea (Kamuela/96743), it does not share the weather of Waimea. The Big Island has various micro-climate pockets.
