Pleasant Grove Tiny Home
Stay in comfort in a beautiful tiny home steps away from a forest with a running creek. Enjoy a camp fire and admire the stars from your hammock before you sleep peacefully in your lofted queen-size bed in the quiet north-central Alabama night. Enjoy complimentary coffee or espresso in the morning as you sit on the porch and enjoy the sunrise. I-20 = 10 minutes Lake Logan Martin = 15 minutes Talladega Superspeedway= 30 minutes Barber Motorsports = 30 minutes Birmingham (downtown) = 35 minutes We're on about 11.5 acres and live and work primarily on this property. The tiny house is situated behind our home and barn, within sight distance, but not close. The property has woods on either side and is mostly grassy with some exposed clay. We're surrounded by hay fields and hunting land, so it's pretty quiet out here! The woods have been cleared of underbrush and are pleasant to walk in. We've put in a small duck pond and fire ring. There are some camp sites in the woods with their own, small fire rings. Cellular signal is spotty to poor. We have a few chickens and a rooster that live in the barn. We haven't had any negative feedback about the rooster waking up guests, but if you think it might be a problem, please plan accordingly. We have a very small RV campground (7 spaces, of which the tiny home is one). So when you book, you may very well have neighbors. The spaces are 25' wide and the tiny home is in the center of the space. The tiny home faces a wood. Guests are free to walk throughout the wood as far as the creek and around the grassy area near the tiny home. The pasture in front of the barn is also fine. Guests are not to enter the fenced backyard, the gray shop building, or the pavilion in the back of the property. As mentioned earlier, we live and work primarily on this property so we are here most of the time. If we're not available, we will leave contact information for someone who can address issues. Rural countryside, near a large lake, surrounded by agricultural (hay) and hunting land. The land is partially forested with a creek and small pond. Rolling hills, grasses complete the picture. Your best bet will be a private vehicle. We are not near any public transit systems and taxis and the like might not be available where and when you need it. As mentioned earlier, cellular signal is not great out here. We're going to try to address this later this year, but at present, it's pretty bad. As mentioned earlier, we have a rooster. We don't have reports of this being a problem in the tiny home, but please be aware. As mentioned earlier, we have a very small RV campsite with 6 spaces besides the one the tiny home is in. You could have neighbors during your stay.
