While visiting Winona, MN stay in this newly converted space. This unique place has a style all its own. This building is the former home of Video Vision, a home movie rental store that serviced the Winona area from the early 80’s until 2019. I purchased this building and spent the better part of a year converting it to 4 exceptional spaces, each designed and curated to reflect Winona hotspots, history and culture. Come and stay in this chic space, close to all Winona has to offer. x1 Queen Bed 1958 NASA Code Name Video Vision (Upper Small): Highlights: 1 queen-size bed is located in the loft. The loft area sleeps 2 children or 1 adult comfortably Mini fridge and microwave TV (with Netflix) Keyless entry (unique code for each stay) two chairs and a fold down table iron and ironing board You have access to the over x12 parking spots, the front entrance is shared with the other x3 units. You have your own room consisting of the x1 queen-size bed in the loft, a private full bathroom, and a mixed-use space consisting of two chairs, a table and storage. Outdoors: The Video Vision building is located within walking distance of the Holzinger Trail head which features a 9 mile loop great for hiking and mountain biking. Lake Winona offers both a big and small lake that is a quick 5 minute, 2 mile drive. Lake Winona offers canoe and kayak rental in the summer months as well as a fishing pier and great paved trails. “Every Child’s Dream” all inclusive playground is also located at the Big Lake. Garvin Heights is another quick drive 2 miles up the bluff. Garvin Heights offers a great overview of the city, lakes and Mississippi River. Sugar Loaf is the iconic bluff overlooking Winona’s east end. You will notice the name on many businesses across town. Access the trail head right off East Lake Blvd (the frontage road on Highway 61). Levee Park and Patio is great for a picnic or a relaxing stroll along the river to watch the eagles. During the summer months you may also catch a large barge making its way up to the granaries or a grand river paddle boat docked for the day. Culture: Winona’s Minnesota Marine Art Museum boasts a collection of fine art that rivals many metropolitan museums. Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir, Matisse and the work of scores of other painting masters hang in the gallery. Bloedow Bakery has been Winona’s hometown bakery since 1924 featuring original recipes. Famous for doughnuts, rolls, and breads. They sell upwards of 10,000 donuts each day to people from near and far! Downtown Winona offers a variety of restaurants and shops including Blooming Grounds, Nosh, Slice, Peter’s Outdoor Biergarten, Acoustic Cafe, Island City Brewing Co., Port 507, Nate and Ally’s Frozen Treat Creations, Yarnology, Loft on 3rd, JovyRocky Jewelry and many more. Downtown is just 3 miles away on 2nd Street and 3rd Street. Universities in the area include Winona State right in the heart of Winona and St. Mary’s nestled into the bluffs on the west end of town. Watkins Museum offers a 150 year history of the company with old advertising memorabilia, products and more. The museum is connected to the Watkins Store which sells over 350 Watkins products including their famous Watkins Vanilla.
