Welcome to Sunslice Surf House, a guesthouse located directly on the beautiful beach of El Tránsito, with the surf break right in our backyard! The property is divided into two main buildings and has plenty of outdoor space. There are 7 rooms to rent and various shared areas, including a co-working space, chilling nooks, a pool, a shared kitchen and a beachfront deck. Sunslice is a place to embrace a balanced lifestyle fueled by human connection, fun waves, and the simple things. Room 4 is a private double room located upstairs in the main house. It has one king bed, but if you let us know in advance, we can turn it into 2 single beds. There is a shared bathroom with a shower down stairs, and two other shared bathrooms located just outside the main house. With plenty of windows, this room offers a beautiful ocean view and a nice breeze throughout the day. Whether you are planning a short visit or a longer co-living experience, we can’t wait to meet you and share the Sunslice lifestyle with you! Guests have access to all shared spaces! They are welcome to use the kitchen, co-working space, cozy nooks located throughout the property, pool, dining tables, beachfront deck, and the hammocks. At Sunslice, “mi casa es su casa'' and in return we ask you to respect the space and other neighbours as if they were your own. You’ll have the chance to socialize, yet there will always be enough room on the property to find your own little spot for some alone time. Holà! We are Simona and Delphina, the owners of Sunslice Surf House. We are friends who both live on the property with our guests. We are always available to answer your questions, provide recommendations, and help you in any way we can. If you don't see us around the property, we are probably surfing, hanging at a cafe, or simply enjoying the surrounding nature. We also love to travel (so far we’ve visited Costa Rica, Morocco, Canada, and France together) and we love to swap stories with other adventure lovers. We can’t wait to meet you! We launched this project to share our lifestyle with people from all over the world and we are excited to share some moments and waves with you! El Tránsito is a charming beach town located on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, situated approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Managua International Airport and 1 hour from León. The local community is welcoming and hospitable, in and out of the water. The beach is stunning, with dark sand, consistent waves, and natural tide pools. There’s a beach break steps from the Sunslice and two point breaks that are no more than a 5 minute walk away, as well as many other world-class point breaks that are accessible by boat. The surf is suitable for all levels, depending on the swell. In town, there are three local restaurants (comedors) that serve comida tipica (traditional food), two cafes that are open for breakfast or lunch that serve international cuisine, two local bars, and a beach bar for those seeking a little party. Additionally, there are two little tiendas (grocery stores) that offer the basics for cooking. If you are staying long-term, we make trips to León to buy groceries and you are welcome to join us! In El Tránsito, everything is within walking distance. You can also get around easily by car or moto, although the streets are not paved. If you have a vehicle, there are a few parking spaces available on the property. We are open to discussing hosting your furry friend, on a case by case basis. Send us a message and let's see how we can accommodate you. There are no ATMs in El Transito and you can’t pay by credit card in many places so plan ahead. We welcome remote workers, but please note that in Nicaragua, we sometimes experience power outages. If you need internet at all times, we recommend buying a Claro Sim card, so that you can hotspot cellular data with your laptop and keep working.
