A fresh lake view room with private bathroom and private entrance including breakfast for 2 persons. Side room of the main house situated right in from of the Laguna de Apoyo. Large windows with the best view on the lake, ventilated with screens and ceiling fan. Large shower with locally handmade tiles. We serve breakfast on the terrace. You will love the flowers all around the room inviting the hummingbirds. Enjoy our ranchito, hammocks, bbq, kayak and public beach access! It has been design to offer our guests an intimate and secure feel while having a few steps away all the excitement of the lake and the public beach. Chairs and hammocks everywhere so you don't have to do much effort when it's time to relax. The room holds 2 people only (it cannot hold 2 adults with kids). We cannot accept dogs without a security deposit. Colibrí room does not have access to a kitchen. Guests have access to the garden of colours, the stargazing terraces, the sun deck, the folkloric BBQ with picnic table, the ranchito with hammocks and chairs. Also 2 kayaks are at your disposition with life vests. The room comes with a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, fresh ground d coffee (and brown sugar). Fenced parking space and internet all around the property. And it goes without saying, a direct access to the beach! We live on the property, making it secure and enjoyable 24/7 and ready to share our knowledge and passion with you any time The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. You are in the middle of the jungle with a beautiful lake in front. The beach in front of the house is public and locals enjoy a swim mostly on Sundays. And the Mountain in the back. The public beach right in front is fun for kids and easy to enter, the lake is perfect to swim and for a Kayak ride. Finally the mountain offers many trails and hosts tons of wildlife for you to discover! Ask us, we will tell you all about the Laguna’s secrets :) You will easily reach the house with any type of vehicle. The last kilometre is a dirt road, driving slowly will get you here with no problem at all. You will park inside the property in a safe parking and you can then walk to the public beach, walk up the trails and enjoy the peacefulness of nature The room is for 2 PERSONS ONLY, there is no extra space for kids if you are two adults. We do not accept dogs in the Colibri Room. If you come by taxi or car, please note the last kilometer is a dirt road. You can reach easily with care as we are located before the hill that goes down to the beach and the road is easily ridable, with care. Low speed does it. Please be prepared with a plan for dinner, especially if you are on foot or are coming late after the sun is down. The Colibri room does not include a kitchen. Apart from breakfast, we do not have food service. Close by, you will only find beer & liquor, some essentials, but honestly no proper food for you and your kids… There is delivery service available from one of the restaurant, they charge 100 córdobas for delivery. There is a restaurant 150 meters from us, the last call for dinner is 7h00 pm. Open all day of the week! Some restaurants on the north side of the Laguna (far far away on foot. 10 minutes away in car) are open until 8h30 PM, but again don’t be surprise if they close earlier during the week or when low occupations. The Laguna de Apoyo is a different type of environment that mostly lives when the sun is up. As soon as the sun goes down, service also goes down! So come prepared, especially if you came by taxi or bus. Night comes early around 6h pm year round and you will need your essentials with you to have an enjoyable stay. We’ll supply drinkable water, 1 liter per day. Bring more water as needed, as the tap water is not potable. Typically, we will change towels every 3 days and sheets every 5 days. We try to respect the environment and reduce consumption, your help with that mission is appreciated. We can provide laundry services (5$ per load). There are lots of birds and wildlife around, make sure to bring your camera/binoculars to snap a few good shoots! Bring your hiking boots and enjoy the trails nearby, the views and petroglyphs are totally worth it.
