The coral reef is located a few kilometers away. The large lagoon is perfect for snorkeling and diving. Thanks to its constant winds, Jambiani is also an ideal spot for windsurfing or kitesurfing. When the water recedes hundreds of feet, a vast expanse of coral and algae farms can be seen. Walking on the beach you can meet indigenous women collecting seaweed or fishermen returning with the catch of the day. On Jambiani beach you will find restaurants and pubs, where an aperitif is always served at sunset. If having your own private paradise beach wasn't enough, just a few kilometers away is one of East Africa's most spectacular crystal blue swimming caves. Jambiani village can be reached by local transportations. From Stone Town, Darajani Suk, the dalla dalla leaves for Kwerekwe. 15 minute journey. Ticket cost: 500 Tanzanian shillings. From Kwerekwe the dalla dalla n°309 will bring you directly in Jambiani. 1 hour and 45 minutes of travel. Ticket cost: 2500 Tanzanian shillings. Local transports do not run after 7.00pm/8.00pm. After that time it is advisable to take a taxi. No smoking inside the house. Parties are not allowed.
