This is my personal home with 4 distinct and complete units. I live in a lower unit. There is a BBQ, cozy wood burning insert and a major close-up display of God's handiwork. Downtown Seattle is 26 miles away (times very). Snoqualmie skiing is 50 mins away & Crystal Mountain is 69 mins away. The uniqueness of this space is the opportunity to be connected to nature in a most peaceful setting. The home itself is like a time capsule when construction was heavy duty. It is my personal home with four separate units. We have a brand new MiniSplit system for heat and......wait for it..... air conditioning! Fishing is year around and we have a canoe, and a peddle boat with a variety of life jackets, fishing poles and bait available. There is a full size washer and dryer installed. There are lots of built-ins for office space and work space in the murphy bedroom. However, it seems most people like to take there laptop in the front area to observe the beauty. Parking is on the premises. Guests have full shared access to the dock for viewing nature/wildlife or fishing from the dock. There are two boats accessible. I have a variety of poles with lures and colored bait. There are trout, bass, blue somethings and yellow somethings... :-) Have you ever wanted to know what it feels like to row in a single rowing shell?!?! Ask me for lessons. I give my guests their space but am happy to answer questions and tend to any needs since I'm living on site as well. Shadow Lake has private homes on a little over half of the shoreline. The rest is the Shadow Lake Preserve. The lake is fully stocked every May with about 5000 trout. Some the largest trout I've ever heard of come from this very clean lake. Maple Valley, Covington and Fairwood (Renton) are all just 8 mins away. Seattle is 40 minutes and SeaTac Airport is only 30 mins away. Skiing at Snoqualmie is 49 minutes away. Public transportation is not handy here. Hiking and bike riding are very close but you need a vehicle to go to the nearby locations. 196th is not conducive to walking/jogging in my estimation - I do see joggers and walkers but I don't consider it safe. Across the lake is the Shadow Lake Preserve. It has only wildlife and forest to view. You are invited to walk the trails and pick up brochures of the little trek.
