Bright, airy, spa-like, round cedar guesthouse with modern decor in lush & private garden setting; separate entrance from the alley; all in the fabulous and central College Hill/Friendly neighborhood. A truly magical spot, our guesthouse is the perfect blend of modern and cozy, set at the back of a thriving garden (incl. a coop of egg-laying chickens, and three rather fluffy bunnies) with plenty of privacy and separate entrance from the alley. The guesthouse is accessed through Jefferson Alley, just west of Jefferson St. on 23rd Ave. (Street parking on 23rd Ave. is reliably available.) Once you start down the alley, it is the second entrance on the left. There is a sign 2350 Jefferson St. above the gate. (There's also a motion-detector light for after-dark hours.) We will leave you a set of keys in the lockbox by the gate (we'll send you the code the day before your arrival). Blue key opens the gate, red key opens the guesthouse. Once entering the backyard, stick to the left to the door of the guesthouse. Please keep the gate locked at all times (we have a very friendly dog, who btw is not allowed in the guesthouse, in case he tries to charm you into it.) Main house is occupied, with one person working from home most days. Living up to its name, Friendly is a colorful and progressive neighborhood, centrally located, with wonderful city parks (Madison Meadows, Washington Park) within a few blocks and Friendly Street Market less than 10 mins. away by foot. Highly walkable and bikeable. Abundant street parking. Ideal location to access downtown and university, but slightly offset for peace and quiet! Luxurious details like top-rated organic latex mattress, high-end French linen and 600-thread count cotton bedding with down duvet, Turkish cotton towels, and more (e.g., Stumptown coffee)! This is not your typical Ikea-clad AirBnB :). We use non-toxic cleaning products and make other efforts to keep our space as clean and planet-friendly as possible.
