The space is clean and there are no scorpions or large bugs that other people might experience in other places. THE VILLAGE: San Marcos is a beautiful village with many colors and flavors. The community is a mixture of local people who practice Mayan rituals as well as Christian practices. The locals are extremely friendly , helpful and generous. The foreign community is large, with many people from all over the world. Most of the town is a wonderful hub for health, wellness and thriving lifestyle. The village has profoundly beautiful views. Please note that the locals often incorporate fireworks and loud celebrations into thier festivities which may cause occasional loud noise from time to time. very friendly neighborhood, close to the center of San Marcos, and also a close walking distance to Eagle's Nest yoga, workshops, ecstatic dance, and restaurants. Food, restaurants, and groceries: There are local convenience stores right outside the house. For bigger grocery shopping and restaurants, an easy 5-minute walk down the road will take you to fresh fruit & veggies, amazing restaurants, and large stores. Hide The easiest way to arrive is by tuk-tuk since the road up to the house is not wide enough for a car. (costs about $1) if you have a car you can park your car at the bottom of the hill. Alternatively, you can also walk up and down just keep in mind that it is a fairly steep hill. The house is comfortably located only a 5-minute walk down to the heart of San Marcos and only 7 minutes walk up the hill towards Eagles Nest - ectatic dance, yoga, and restaurant :). Convenience stores are just around the corner. The house is close to a road for an easy taxi drop off, while also far enough for privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. please note that the house is located up a hill, which takes about 10-15 min walk up the hill from the center. If you do not want to walk you can take a taxi it costs around $1 and take 2 minutes
