A unique private house nestled in the woods on several acres with spectacular views. This ideal location is less than 1 mile to Whitefish Lake State Park, Whitefish Golf Club & Restaurants (a favorite for locals) and only 2 miles from the downtown shops. This recently renovated alpine chalet has quick & easy access to hiking/ biking/ fishing for the active traveler, while providing a relaxing space to recharge after a busy day. Casa Alpina, with it's Swiss charm, will be your new favorite place. This unique location is close to downtown Whitefish, yet also provides our guests with privacy. Explore some of the Montana wilderness/ wildlife literally in the backyard within the surrounding forests--access to 20 acres. We have a small farm on the surrounding areas with horses, goats, chickens and lambs. Outside you can step out the front door to enjoy the stunning views on the beautiful wrap around deck with fire pit. Indoors you can sit back and relax in the living room in front of the wood burning fireplace while taking in the view of the majestic Montana mountains. Just off the living room is a full bathroom, laundry room and kitchen. On this main floor adjacent to the living room, we have a large master bedroom with lots of natural light. In the master bedroom, there is a queen size bed with a double vanity and a full bath with toilet and shower. The remaining three bedrooms are on the second floor. Up the stairs to the right is St Joseph's room. This lovely room has a unique natural wood A-frame design with two large skylights and comes with a queen bed. One comfortable room to the left of St Joseph's we like to call St. Rita's room which has two twin beds. Across from St Rita's room you'll find St. Francis's room, also with two twin size beds. In addition, for the guests convenience, there is a half bath on the second floor. Whitefish Lake Golf Club is right down the street. Enjoy a round of golf and afterward grab some food and drinks at the restaurant located on the golf course. Less than five minutes drive (or bike) from the property is downtown Whitefish (~2mi). On Main St. you'll find many good restaurants, bars, and shops. Whitefish Mountain Resort (aka Big Mountain) is a main attraction, rated #3 Best Resort in the West by SKI magazine. In the winter, enjoy alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, etc... In the summer time enjoy many miles of mountain biking trails via Whitefish Trail system or take a short walk to Whitefish Lake via the State Park access (~1 mi). Whitefish mountain Resort also has an extensive mountain biking trail system with access via the chairlifts used for the ski season. Across the lake from the property you'll find Whitefish Lodge where you can rent a boat or jet ski's for the day as well as paddle board and Kayak rentals offered at the City Beach Lake access location. Nothing like spending a day out on Whitefish Lake with the many options for summertime fun! Glacier National Park is the prime location if you visit Flathead Valley. Only 45 minutes to the west entrance from the property. Being so close to Glacier Park you'll be able to make the most of your days. Over 700 miles of hiking trails with stunning views.
