Sunset Blaze, the perfect destination for your family to enjoy the beautiful State of Maine. This brand new spacious lake home sits on the shore of Pushaw Lake, just miles from Bangor Maine. Enjoy lakefront activities, large dock, canoes, paddleboarding, kayaks, fishing… Day trips include short rides to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Mt. Kathadin, Baxter State Park. This five bedroom gem easily accommodates a dozen guests, just feet from the lake with stunning sunsets. The main living area includes a spacious open combination of living room, dining room and kitchen that overlook a stunning custom stone fireplace and 55 inch TV. The main room which is lake side is mostly windows with stunning views - the center french doors open to a 8 x 32 ft deck with glass panels in the railings for unobstructed views of the lake and sunset. The deck wraps along to a large 6 x 36 ft covered porch. There are two first floor bedrooms, one has a bunk bed with futon and twin size upper bed. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. The first floor bathroom has shower, toilet and washer and dryer. The 2nd floor is highlighted by a large master bedroom with cathedral ceilings, large windows and french doors that open to a small deck, all facing the lake with stunning views. On a clear day Mt. Katahdin can be spotted. The Master bedroom includes a bathroom with walk in tile shower, private toilet, separate laundry room and walk in closet. Additionally, the second floor has two other bedrooms, one has two twin beds and the other has a queen size bed. Another bathroom with shower accommodates those two guest bedrooms. Brian - Lois - WIFI Spectrum – 05 PW : checkladder189 TV’s Three TV’s located in Home – 1 in Main Living Room, 2 in Master Bedroom 3, Guest bedroom first floor The remote for TV in the first-floor guest room does not turn on or off the TV or raise or lower the volume. Those controls are located on the right lower side of the small TV. Heat and Coolant Heat There are two thermostats, one located in the main living room to the right of the pantry door and the second located behind the master bedroom door on the second floor. These thermostats should be utilized to maintain the comfort level of heat in the home. In Addition, There are two heat pumps that can provide coolant or additional heat temperatures. Utilize heat pumps only if needed. One is located in the first floor living room and the second located in the Master bedroom on 2nd floor. Both have white remotes that are in remote holders attached to walls adjacent to the heat pumps. Basically the “mode” on the remote should indicate “Heat” or “Cool” depending on what you are seeking, then temperature setting, and Fan can be set to auto or adjusted as needed. Bluetooth Speakers in Bathrooms Each Bathroom is equipped with speakers that can be connected to a Smart phone or other Bluetooth device. Just click on Music icons on the switch as you enter the bathrooms to activate the Bluetooth speakers. Speakers There are two sets of speakers, one set located in the main living room area and another located externally on the deck. If you download the “sonos app” on your iphone or ipad device you should be able to access the speakers and play music from your personal device. Staple Supplies Personal and Guest Use has resulted in a variety of extra staple items, i.e., Coffee, pancake mix, condiments, water soda beer etc. Feel free to use items that have been left behind and or leave nonperishable items for future guests. Guest Book We would love for you to sign and leave a note about your stay in our guest book. Gould Rd Gould Rd is a private road for Residents and guest Only – Please follow the local speed limits. I recognize it can be difficult for some of us to drive 10 – 15 miles per hour MAX but our neighbors are extremely sensitive to anyone that drives over these speed limits. Thank you for your patience. Lake Pushaw Lake is approximately 9 miles long and 2.25. miles wide. Deepest point is only 28 feet and avg depth is 11 ft. The lake borders four towns, Orono, Glenburn, Old Town, and Hudson. Please feel free to utilize the Kayaks, Canoes, paddle board any other of the games, toys, outdoor equipment located on the property. It is required by Maine law that you where a life jacket when using any canoe or kayak. Please do not leave any child unattended in or near the lake. Enjoy your stay. Check out instructions! 1. Please place any dirty laundry and used bedsheets from first floor in laundry room in the first floor bathroom 2. Please place any dirty laundry and used bedsheets from second floor in laundry room in the master bathroom. 3. During summer months you can place any trash in trash cans, which are located below the entrance deck. Trash can pick up is every Thursday morning and trash cans should be placed near the roadside mailbox. During winter months there is a dumpster located on Hemlock point. When you get to the end of Essex St. – Gould rd. is to the left, Hemlock Pt is to right. If you have any significant trash build up, please bring your trash to the Dumpster. Small amounts of trash can be handled by our cleaning service. Thank You. 4. Recyclables can be left returned to local recyclable center or can be left on deck outside front door 5.
