To reach both, take the dirt road outside the resort North. About 5 minutes walking distance hang a right for the Thirsty Turtle (you will see the sign from the road). They are known for their tasty pizza and they have a pool table and the ring toss game. About 10 minutes walking distance North from the resort is Small's Takeaway. It is on the right hand side of the road. Small's has amazing food and great hospitality. GOLF CART RENTAL AVAILABLE: Directly next to Small's Takeaway is D&S Mini Mart and Golf Cart Rental. FERRY TO NORTH BIMINI: Take the dirt road outside of the resort North. The Ferry is at the end of the road and is about a 15 minute walk. Ferry costs $3 cash each way. It takes less than 5 minutes to cross over to North Bimini and the ferry goes back and forth every 15-30 minutes. Starts running around 8am and stops around 10pm. When you get off the ferry you are in the heart of Alice Town, North Bimini. There is shopping, grocery stores, liquor stores, restaurants. Simply take a right on the road once you exit the ferry. If you take a left on any one of the roads off the main road you will go to the other side of the island where the ocean views are spectacular. Check out CJ's Deli (right on the road once you exit the ferry then left at the Bank of the Bahamas. About a 5 minute walk from the ferry. Delicious food and incredible views from the patio on the beach). Not far down the road from CJ's is Radio Beach- stunning! Must see for beach lovers. There are plenty of places within quick walking distance from the ferry but there are also golf cart rentals, which you will see a few right after exiting the ferry. HOW TO GET HERE: BY AIR Tropic Ocean Airways *Most recommended - very reliable, amazing service* - reserve a seat on a flight or a private charter - departs from Sheltair Terminal FLL Airport - lands at North Bimini Seaplane Base. Ferry runs every 15-30 minutes and starts around 8am and stops around 10pm. You can ask the ferry driver to call a taxi for you to get to the resort. Silver Airways *They have been known to cancel flights and delay flights, sometimes frequently* - departs from Fort Lauderdale- Hollywood International Airport (FLL) - lands at South Bimini Airport (BIM). From here the resort is a 10 minute taxi ride Aztec Airways - departs from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport - lands at South Bimini Airport (BIM). From here the resort is a 10 minute taxi ride BY FERRY Balearia Caribbean Fast Ferry - departs from Fort Lauderdale - 2021 Eller Drive, Terminal 21 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 . - docks at Fisherman's Village, Bimini Bay, North Bimini, Bahamas - from here you can take a taxi to the ferry to go to South Bimini. Ferry ride is less than 5 minutes and costs $3 cash. Ferry runs every 15-30 minutes and starts around 8am and stops around 10pm. You can ask the ferry driver to call a taxi for you to get to the resort. BY PRIVATE VESSEL Upon arrival to the marina, you must clear your vessel and crew with Bahamas Customs & Immigration, which is on call to the resort property. Thank you for choosing to stay with me! I hope you will feel at home and soak up the paradise that is Bimini! As your host, I am easily reachable should you need any assistance. A few things to note: The Bimini Islands are remote, and as such, intermittent power outages, WIFI connection and water pressure losses can occur. This may cause a slight inconvenience during your stay. Not subject to offer refunds if these issues do occur. The resort does an amazing job at regularly spraying for bugs, but this being the tropics there are mosquitos and no-see-ums that still hang around. Be sure to bring bug repellent. ATM AND CASH: There is not an ATM on South Bimini! Most places take card but some only take cash, definitely need to have some on hand. Either bring cash with you or there is an ATM in North Bimini at the Bank of the Bahamas, about 5 minutes walking distance from the ferry in North Bimini. Once you get off the ferry hang a right on the road and the bank will be on your left hand side. US dollars accepted everywhere. Same currency as Bahamian dollars.
