My Island Home - Le Studio is one of two self-contained accommodations that make up My Island Home, the other being Le Studio. Located on a secure and well-planted property, this atypical house offers everything you need for a pleasant stay in Huahine. With the 2 bikes provided we are only 10 minutes from the town of Fare, beaches, activities and archaeological sites. Our airport, boat or strategic point transfers are free! Formerly forming a friendly tropical family home with "La Galerie", "Le Studio" can let in the life that surrounds it: the other people present, the neighbors' dogs, the road, the cyclists and their music... This one-story house will offer you a total immersion in the real every day life of the island. (If you feel overwhelmed by the experience or are a light sleeper, we provide free earplugs upon request if they are not already in your accommodation.) On the ground floor, you will find the kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, burners, a microwave oven and large work surfaces. This living space has a dining table and two bed-size settees. The private bathroom with hot water shower is just steps from the kitchen door. A small covered terrace in front of the house with a table and chairs is another option to the terrace's shared tables for eating outside. Upstairs, accessible by an outside staircase, you will find a large airy bedroom with a queen size bed (two places), a desk and the possibility of a single bed. In your kitchen, you'll find breakfast supplies and we deliver a baguette fresh from the bakery every morning, free of charge, so you don't have to start your day with a shopping trip to town. You have access at all times to the shared terrace and relaxing pool. There are tables and chairs in the shaded area of the terrasses for those who wish to dine outdoors. The terrace is also a nice spot for star-gazing as the day winds down. Le Studio shares the terrace and yard with our other accommodation, La Galerie. The two bungalows are in close proximity but we try our best to assure privacy for each as well as the opportunity to meet fellow voyagers. The house in the back is a private residence. Mostly not on site you can reach me at any time by message. Vaihere our housekeeper is also at your disposal to answer your questions. Our telephone numbers are also available in the book in the house. My grandmother Marty and her husband Moe live in the house in the back. Previously the managers of My Island Home, they are the soul of the houses. They are enjoying a well-deserved retirement but will be able to help you if you have an emergency. We are conveniently located on the main road, between Fare, the airport road and Maeva. The main town of Fare, departure of the famous 3 step paddling race Hawaiki Nui, and it's public white sand beaches are just a 10 minutes bike ride. On the airport road, where you can encounter free running horses or cows on your 5 minutes ride, you can visit a private collection of see shells at the 'Motu Trésor' or learn about and buy vanilla at 'Boutique LM Huahine'. The village of Maeva with its beautiful archeological sites, House of Vanilla and the Fare Potee, where you can learn the history of the Maohi people, are 25 minutes away. They are all accessible with the two provided bicycles. If you are interested in a tour that includes various activities to explore Huahine, we would be happy to help you make a reservation. We supply two beach bikes for your use on the flat part of the northern end of the island as they are not fit for hills (you can ride them between the Sacred Eels or the Dog's Paw). The bike ride to town or beaches takes around 10 minutes. If you wish to use bicycles to tour the entire island we can help you with rentals shops in town. We can also help you with scooter reservations and we have rental cars, directly at the house, at preferential rates for our customers. Do not hesitate to inquire about availability. In your kitchen, you'll find breakfast supplies : coffee, tea, sugar and butter.. Every morning we will deliver fresh baguette free of charge to your terrace, so you don't have to start your day with a shopping trip. We live in a tropical climate with the mosquitos that come with it, despite our best efforts to treat the property you may encounter some of those uninvited guest. This is why you'll find mosquito nets above the beds and electric anti-mosquito machines in the bedroom and the living room. We have exterior cameras installed to keep an eye on any intruders on the land, for your privacy none are directed on the pool or terraces.
