From swinging on our 300-year old Banyan tree, to picking tropical fruits from our orchard, to watching sunsets on your porch - you’ll quickly feel the energy and joy of this corner of the world The Last Resort’s most relaxing and intimate unit, The Bamboo Suite is ideal for solo travelers or love birds wanting to escape. The unit features high ceilings, Restoration Hardware furniture, and a wrap around porch with serene views. A king bed, desk area and remodeled kitchenette stocked with Williams Sonoma make the main room both comfy and functional. Step onto The Bamboo Suite’s back porch and enjoy breakfast on the cafe table, time on your yoga mat, or just snooze on the chaise loungers. Not only does the unit include a large, full bathroom with a Toto toilet and double shower heads, but guests can also soak under the brand new outdoor rain shower or in the custom basalt tub. While the Bamboo Suite has two private entrances, it also shares an adjoining door to the Banyan House, making it convenient for larger families who want to rent both units for extra space and privacy. Bamboo Suite guests will also share an outdoor laundry room and BBQ area with Banyan guests. Please note that we have an on-site property landscaper that may be watering and tending to the lawns, gardens, and orchard near the home during daylight hours. Need even more space for your group? They'll share a lawn, BBQ area and outdoor-accessible laundry room with Banyan House guests. Your hosts, Madeline and Jesse, are mainly available through the airbnb app and by phone. They value their privacy and yours. Please contact them through the app! Our property is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood in Kapa'au. The county of Hawai'i has one of the strictest dark sky ordinances in the world, so you'll enjoy clear starry nights. The safety and remote nature of our neighborhood allow you to fully escape! We are located just over a mile from the beautiful and scenic Pololu Valley. It's a quick 10-minute drive into Kapa'au, our small town with a convenience store and several food options. Hawi Town is just 15 minutes driving distance, and has a few more options available including a grocery store, gas station and several dining options. The Big Island is best explored by car! We highly recommend renting a car from the Kona or Hilo airport or us Turo. There are no Uber or Lyfts in Kapaau. Nor are there buses or public transportation that will bring you to the property. We have two other vacation rentals on our property. Unless you're renting all three of our listings, it is possible that there may be guests in the other home(s) during your stay.
