Our place is located in the very heart of the city, in the urban neighbourhood of Dorćol (the municipality of Old Town). While staying at Misha's, you'll be tucked in on the fourth floor of the historical building, protected by the city of Belgrade as a cultural heritage. Kalemegdan, Skadarlija, Knez Mihailova, and Republic Square are all within walking distance, as well as numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and grocery stores. One of the greatest advantages of Captain Misha's flat is that it's very central (all the greatest sightseeing spots are within walking distance), yet tucked away in one of the oldest and most quiet streets of Dorćol. The building has a residential entrance as well as the entrance to the cultural centre "Parobrod". Another awesome thing is that the apartment has two levels - there's a living room and the kitchen on the ground floor and then there's a gallery with a bedroom and bathroom. Finally, the apartment is very bright, modern but still cosy - you will find lots of interesting books to check out, candles if you're up to a romantic ambience, and there are a lot of plants (yes, we are huge nature lovers) that add a bit of boho-style pinch to our cosy place. There are no shared spaces in our apartment - it's all yours to enjoy complete privacy. It's only the elevator that you will share with other residents of the building. We're eager to share all the useful tips and tricks and we're available 24/7 for any inquiries you might have - you can reach out either by e-mail or phone. Located along the right bank of the Danube, Dorćol is oldest surviving neighborhood in Belgrade. It is known for its specific urban charm and the mentality of its residents. The neighborhood has experienced artistic revival since the 2000s concurrently with the Savamala neighborhood on the opposite, Sava, bank. After being featured in numerous reports, including by the BBC and The Guardian, Time Out magazine placed Dorćol on their list of "50 coolest neighborhoods". It has been described as a Belgrade "phenomenon", an "exciting, creative and inventive spot", and the "authentic, organic soul of the city". Most of the city's major attractions are within a walking distance. However, numerous bus, taxi and tram stations are also nearby. The main Belgrade train and bus station with all national and international departures is only 1.9 km away from the apartment while airport is around 35 minutes drive from the station bus station Zeleni Venac (line number 72). Locations nearby: 800m from the Kalemegdan fortress 500m from Knez Mihailova (main street) 450m from Skadarlija 600m from Rajićeva Shopping center 600m from National Museum 650m from The Republic Square 1200m from Beton Hala 2700m from Hram Svetog Save How to get to the apartment from the Belgrade airport "Nikola Tesla": By bus: The most cost-savvy travel option from Belgrade airport to downtown is by bus. Bus line 72 leaves Belgrade airport and stops at Zeleni Venac Square, with a travel time of 35 minutes. Moreover, the bus is available daily and runs every 30 minutes. A one-way bus ticket from BEG to Belgrade city centre costs €0.76 (89 RSD) when purchased at the kiosk before boarding or €1.28 (150 RSD) when purchased on board. * Bus line 72 operates daily 04:40 and 23:40. **All the airport buses leave Nikola Tesla Airport from bus stops located outside the Terminal’s Arrivals Hall. Once you arrive at the Zeleni Venac Square (this is the last stop of the bus line 72), you can reach the apartment by foot (it's a 15 minutes walk). By taxi: Belgrade airport has a fixed-fare scheme for taxi rides from the airport to all destinations, and taxi fares are divided into zones of travel. A trip from Belgrade airport to the city centre will cost you no more than 30€, as the airport is located in Zone 2. Please note that in order to get a taxi, you will first need to get a paid slip for your journey at the Taxi Information counter in the ‘Baggage Claim’ hall. You will then need to hand your slip to the first available taxi driver before starting your journey. Book a taxi at 'Baggage Claim’ hall and NOT one of the drivers waiting outside as these are not registered taxi drivers and they will charge you much more. If you want a taxi ride, you can also try to pre-install verified taxi companies' apps such as Pink taxi and book your ride directly via app.
