This, comfortable, small house with a private garden, sun deck, plunge pool and an amazing view is located between the Mayan villages of San Marcos La Laguna and Tzununa on Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. Pasajcap is known for its stunning lake views, nature & tranquility. Pasajcap Love is a comfortable, small house that was built from the local, natural rock. Nestled on a hill in the natural beauty of upper Pasajcap, between the two Mayan villages of San Marcos La Laguna and Tzununa on Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. This area is called Pasajcap and is known for its stunning lake views, nature & tranquility. The private location and incredible view on beautiful lake Atitlán make it a unique experience. Love has a private covered porch and garden, sundeck and plunge pool. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and has a gas stove, oven, blender and hot water in the sink. The bedroom has a queen sized bed with mosquito net, quality cotton bedding and a small safe for valuables. The shower is located outside. Hot solar water with a gas back-up heater. Good water pressure. The bathroom is also located outside. Western style flush toilet. The internet connection is normally reliable and we have the best service available on our side of the lake. (The speed is 10mg up / 10 mg down shared with two other houses.) However if you are working online or have specific online needs we would recommend that you have enough data on your phone to support this, as in rural Guatemala we cannot guarantee that it will work all the time. Thank you for your understanding. PLEASE NOTE: There are frequent (scheduled & unscheduled) power cuts at the lake. In that case you would need to use phone data & we would also recommend bringing a battery backup for your phone. Our Property Manager, Juan, is on the property Monday-Friday from 8-4. He is there to help and will supply you with filtered drinking water and fresh linens when needed. If you arrive on the weekend or in the evening hours, we will give you instructions and keys will be left in a locked box for you. It's a 20 minute walk to either San Marcos or Tzununa. Tuktuks are 2-3 USD per person. PLEASE NOTE: Pasajcap is still a very natural area and there all kinds of animals and insects around, and also INSIDE THE HOUSE. EXPECT TO SEE SPIDERS, SCORPIONS, ANTS and other insects, all are very common at the lake and in Pasajcap. They are not dangerous - the Scorpion’s sting is a bit like a bee sting. This is part of being in a place with so much natural beauty. **If you can't deal at all with spiders & insects this is NOT your place.** PLEASE NOTE: The property entrance is on the road. There is space for one car to pull off and park on the side of the road - this is not closed parking. **Please let us know if you will be driving to see if the parking spot is available.** There are also several places in San Marcos where you can pay to park your car. To reach the house you have to take a private path up the hill - which is about 90 steps up. Climbing up the hill makes for an amazing view from the house! Pasajcap (Kaqchikel for - sweet from inside) is a quiet and natural area close to the village of San Marcos La Laguna with amazing views of the lake and volcanoes. Walk, Tuk-Tuk, Car or Boat The property entrance is right on the road. If you arrive Mon-Fri before 4pm, we will meet you at the road to help you with your luggage. Evening or weekend arrivals can retrieve keys from a locked box and make their own way up. To reach the house you have to take the private path up the hill - which is about 90 steps up.
