This comfortable oceanfront condo offers a great location for a fun-filled vacation.  Whether you want to have a rainforest adventure, play at the beach, explore Old San Juan, or swim at the base of a waterfall you can always return to the relaxing sound of the waves and stellar views at the condo.   Sanitizing fog machine used. Near ferry to beautiful Culebra and Vieques.. You will need to rent a car on the island. We have all the major car rental companies located at or near the San Juan Airport (SJU). Located right on the ocean, our modest condo here in Playa Fortuna is the perfect launching pad for an adventure filled vacation.  This is why we love it so much.  Our days are spent exploring the rainforest, playing at secluded beaches, investigating fortresses in Old San Juan, and climbing around and swimming beneath waterfalls.  After that we can return to our comfortable condo overlooking the ocean and relax while we listen to the waves.  For us, it is absolutely ideal and if that description sounds enticing to you then you will most likely enjoy it like we do. It is important to know that this is not a resort.  It doesn't feel like one, act like one, or try to be one.  If you are looking for a resort vibe then this place will not be for you.  There are no gleaming high rises here in Playa Fortuna.  It is an authentic Puerto Rican town with friendly people and an amazing setting.  It is not uncommon to see chickens walking down the road and people riding by on horseback.  We happen to like that about this place but we fully understand it isn't for everyone. Although the condo is right on the water, accessing the water can be a bit harrowing for some.  The ocean currents change the amount of sand in front of the condo all the time throughout the year.  In addition, the seawall was damaged in years past so climbing down to the water isn't in everyone's comfort zone.  Fear not, if you desire some beach time just walk a few blocks and you will be at Fortuna Beach where you could walk for miles in the sand and waves.  If fact, the highly regarded Luquillo Beach is just over a half mile from the condo along with the famous kiosks serving up all kinds of local (and not so local) cuisine.  There is no shortage of beaches in Luquillo.  We've included many pictures we've taken of the locations where we like to explore.  Feel free to Google them to learn more.  They are:  Luquillo Beach, Playa Colora, Cabeza Chiquita, Hippie Pool, El Yunque Rainforest, Rio Cubuy, Rio Espiritu Waterfall, and Old San Juan.  Believe me, this is just scratching the surface.  Some nearby excursions you could opt for include: zip-lining, horseback riding, a guided natural waterslide adventure, kayaking in the bioluminescent bay, taking the ferry to Culebra or Vieques, and much more. Our property manager, Rick, is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area as well.  If you have questions then there is a good chance he can answer them. The pictures should give you a pretty good idea of what the condo is like but you should also know that there is free wi-fi, a smart tv with access to Netflix, and a Bluetooth enabled stereo to listen to your music.  The main living space has air conditioning and each bedroom has their own wall A/C unit.  The kitchen has a cooktop, fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker but there is no oven.
