Incredible uninterrupted views over the ocean from the terraces to watch amazing sunsets, pelicans and frigate birds diving for fish, boats sailing by... Big dining table for sociable meals and barbecues. Seating on the terrace for sunbathing or reading.. The pool is great for cooling off after a day of sightsighting.... Hoping we have thought of most things for a comfortable stay at the house... Single level, spacious and detached. Lovely light filled rooms, with modern interiors. Air conditioned, big open plan lounge and large fully equipped dining kitchen. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. Outdoor terraces and a private pool. Two large bedrooms with American kingsize beds. One smaller bedroom with an American queen sized bed. All three bedrooms have closets, air conditioning, ceiling fans and ensuite bathrooms with rain showerheads. Wrap around terrace from the lounge and dining Kitchen. Doors fold back to allow the breeze through, to create a fabulous open plan area.. Upper terrace and sun deck with steps down to the lower terrace, pool with an outdoor shower. Full internet access. Smart tv The house stands on the hillside in a sloping tropical garden. Lots of visiting birds and ocassionally monkeys swing by! Entrance to the house is at street level from the car parking area (no steps to climb!) Just minutes by car to beautiful beaches, amazing reefs for snorkelling! and the Frigate Bay restaurants and shops. Guests can access all of the property. All upper level rooms and terraces, lower terrace and pool, car parking area and garden. Owners keep one locked closet for storage of their personal items. At Sea Breeze house in St Kitts, we have a very helpful and experienced local manager based approximately 200 yards from the property. Tracey can assist with all housekeeping issues and checking in /out concerns. We also have a local handyman man (Dave) on call, to deal with any maintenance issues at the property. We are honest, friendly people and always very happy to help. Frigate Bay is quiet, safe residential neighbourhood. Probably the best residential area on the Island. The house is in a great location. Less than 10 minutes drive from the airport and only 5 minutes drive to the beach bars and restaurants of the Frigate Bay strip. A large Ram's supermarket with a big range of food and drinks, is located in Basseterre town. Smaller grocery stores can be found a short distance away from the house, in the area around the Marriott hotel. Hiring a car is the best way so explore the whole island. We use Bullseye Rentals (they offer kindly offer 10% off rental prices to our guests). There are plenty of taxi cabs (but they can be expensive!) and the Island bus service is very limited. It is possible to walk down from the house to a few very local restaurants but be prepared for a steep uphill walk back! or call a cab for the journey home. Do visit the nearby, beautiful island of Nevis. It is really easy to get there! Local ferries operate daily services from Basseterre (slow route) or take the water taxi from the jetty at Reggae Beach (fast route). Free car park by the jetty! Plenty of taxi cabs are usually available on arrival at the quayside in Nevis, to take you to the fabulous beaches and attractions, such as Alexander Hamilton's House and Museum, the lovely Botanical Gardens, lunch at one of the plantation houses or experience the famous Sunshine's bar! There is a copy of the Lonely Planet Carribean edition, on the bookshelf. The St Kitts & Nevis section has lots of information about places of interest and local restaurant recommendations, history of island etc. We are also putting together a house folder with information about the island, bars and restaurants, local places of interest etc. Washing machine and dryer are housed in a large utility cupboard. Large American style fridge/freezer provides water and ice. Private drive with space to turn a vehicle and off street parking. The house is on 2 levels. We own all of the property. There is a small (1 bedroom) apartment (with a tenant) on each side of the property, on the lower level. The apartments each have a completely separate entrance from the main house with no access to the house pool or the lower terrace area. We plan to add the apartments into the house rental in the future, to offer more space to larger families/ groups. We do not allow pets at the property. Bathroom towels (for house use only) and some pool/beach towels are provided. Most of the local beaches have sun loungers and umbrellas available at reasonable prices (a deal can often be negotiated!) or some are free if drinks or food are purchased at the bar. The house has both American 110 and UK (240 volt) plug sockets. No need for a carbon monoxide monitor as all power and heating sources in the house are electric. The island has some problems with water supply and as a water saving measure, sometimes to the domestic supply is interrupted. This can last for hours! To help counteract this, we have installed 2 big underground water storage tanks, a drainage system to collect all the rainwater falling onto our roof (sometimes a lot!) also a pump to deliver the stored water to the house, if supply is off. All this helps ensure that we have water to our bathrooms and appliances, even when the island supply is interrupted. Now the house renovations are complete, work is progressing on re planting the surrounding garden. New trees and shrubs are growing fast! It is begining to look wonderful!
