The furnishings, amenities (including air conditioning) , and setting make it a wonderful vacation home from which to enjoy the wonders of Kauai's North Shore. A two-minute walk from the house is magnificent Hanalei Bay and its famous, white-sand beach. A short stroll will bring you to quaint, historic, downtown Hanalei. The apartment is on the garden level of a larger home, Maluhia Hanalei. At the end of a cul-de-sac, set back off the road, and down a long driveway on a wonderfully landscaped quarter acre adjacent to a conservation area it is extremely private and quiet. The setting is lush, green, very secluded, and yet only a block to the beach and a five-minute walk into town. An ideal location. The Plumeria Suite will accommodate up to 4 guests. It has two bedrooms with a king bed and a queen bed, living room, dining area, full kitchen, and full bath. It has a private lanai opening onto the gardens in the back, and an outdoor shower in addition to the full bath inside. There is a gas grill on the back patio as well. There are also a pack and play and a futon for children. The house is beautifully decorated and fully equipped, including air conditioning. Guests will enjoy the wonderful outdoor shower, the myriad birds in the trees, the wonderful sunrises and sunsets, the lush foliage and flowers everywhere, and the complete privacy and seclusion. The main house upstairs is also a vacation rental and may be rented to another group. The gardens may be used by anyone renting the house. There are no gatherings or parties allowed on the premises without the express permission of the owners. There is a noise ordinance in effect in the whole neighborhood with quiet hours beginning at 9PM on weeknights and 10PM on weekends. The owner does not live on the island, but the onsite caretakers who are also family members are available for any kind of assitance you might need. Hanalei Palms is a charming, quiet, residential neighborhood located adjacent to Hanalei Bay and just a few minutes walk into downtown Hanalei. The map distances are incorrect, as Hanalei Bay is just a block away and downtown is an additional three blocks. The Hanalei Pier is 1/2 mile walk down the beach. The beach and downtown Hanalei are walking distance and very close by. Other beaches, towns, and sites are best accessed by car. 18% local accommodations tax is additional. Please also note that while the cancellation policy is 50% refund within the cancellation period, if I can rent the house to someone else for your dates I will issue you a full refund for the days rented.
