Hilo has always been a favored spot for visitors traveling the Island because of its central location, historic beauty and easy access to shopping, public transportation (bus), restaurants, farmers markets, parks, beach access, waterfalls, hiking, post office, and more! Recently there has been an increase in popularity, with the eruption of Mauna Loa. This area is one of our favorites in town! Neighboring farms, views for days and just a couple minute walk to downtown Hilo! Enjoy county water, high speed internet and great neighbors. Centrally located for all your Big Island adventures on the East side! Beautiful Hilo-side beaches, perfect for snorkeling and watching the sea turtles lie just minutes from the home. Tour about an hour south along history enriched hiking trails and beautiful coastlines with multiple beaches to stop along the way to the only Black Sand Beach (Punalu’u). Continue south just a little further and you will find yourself at the Southernmost tip of the United States (South Point).
